These constant price revisions may surely put off potential buyers. The baby Duke, for instance, falls in the same price bracket as the NS200 and the Apache RTR 200 4V, both of which offer better performance. Shockingly enough, the 390 Duke costs more than the twin-cylinder Interceptor 650, which gives Royal Enfield the opportunity to eat into KTM’s share of the market.
Having said that, the 390 Duke is likely to be updated with radar cruise control in 2021 which may offer some leverage over its rivals. And the new price may help narrow the gap between the current model and the updated one. Same goes for the RC range which will feature all-new styling for 2021. The bike has already been spotted on the production line here in India and should be launched in the first quarter of 2021.
That’s not all though, the Austrian brand has a couple of other products lined up for launch in 2021: here’s what’s in store. What do you think of these price hikes? Do let us know in the comments below.
