TVS iQube Latest Updates
TVS has launched three new variants of the iQube electric scooter: a new entry-level iQube variant with a 2.2kWh battery pack, along with the two variants of the iQube ST with 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh battery pack. Now, with five variants of the iQube, customers have a wider range to choose from. However, If you are confused on which one to buy, this should help you out. The recently launched Ather Rizta Z is a direct rival to the iQube ST 3.4kWh variant, but which one should you get? We have answered that question in this image comparison.
TVS iQube Key Highlights
Price: The iQube is available in five variants. The base 2.2kWh variant has an introductory price of Rs 94,999 and the 3.4kWh variant costs Rs 1,36,628. The iQube S is a bit more expensive at Rs 1,46,420. The newly launched iQube ST 3.4kWh version is priced at Rs 1,55,555 whereas the 5.1kWh is available at Rs 1,85,373 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru including EMPS 2024 subsidy, which stands for Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024). Moreover, the customers who have pre-booked the iQube ST before July 15, 2022, can now buy either of the available two options and will get an introductory loyalty bonus of Rs 10,000.
Features: The base 2.2kWh and 3.4kWh variants have a 5-inch TFT digital display, while the S has a bigger 7-inch display with joystick control whereas the top ST variant has a 7-inch touchscreen display with voice control. All variants get smartphone connectivity. The iQube range has fully LED lights, illuminated logo, a boot light, and an underseat USB charging port. Some extra features include parking assist, different riding modes, day and night display mode, and a regenerative braking system. With your phone connected, you can see your past rides, get alerts if you go too fast or have an emergency, check how much battery you have left, find where you parked, and get help with directions and phone calls. The ST version also has voice control. The iQube 2.2kWh variant gets a 30-litre storage space, whereas all the other variants get 32-liter of boot space.
Motor: All five variants of the TVS iQube electric scooters are powered by a 3kW electric hub motor with a peak output of 4.4kW. The electric scooter comes in three different battery capacities: 2.2kWh, 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh. The standard iQube 2.2kWh variant has a claimed range of 75km, it charges from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours. The standard iQube with the 3.4kWh battery, iQube S, and the iQube ST 3.4kWh delivers a claimed range of 100km and charges from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hour and 50 minutes. The iQube ST with the 5.1kWh battery pack promises a range of 150km and takes 4 hours and 18 minutes to charge to 80 percent. The aforementioned charging speed is using a 950W charger.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The scooter also boasts a telescopic fork and twin shock absorber suspension setup. Braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum unit, with 12-inch wheels at both ends. In terms of weight, the standard and S variants tip the scales at 118kg (kerb).
Rivals: The TVS iQube rivals Ola S1X (4kWh), Ather Rizta, Ampere Nexus and Vida V1 Plus. The 3.4kWh variants of the iQube compete with other premium electric scooters such as Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, and the Vida V1 Pro.
Range: The iQube 2.2kWh variant claims a range of 75km whereas the standard 3.4kWh variant, iQube S, and iQube ST 3.4kWh version have a claimed range of 100km. The top-end iQube ST 5.1kWh variant has a claimed 150km range.
