- The Honda CB300F is a sporty commuter from the Japanese manufacturer which shares its design language with the Hornet 2.0.
- It comes with a tractable motor and aggressive design language but does not make much power on paper
- It is also priced quite high for the performance it offers

A familiar silhouette
- It gets a sporty silhouette with sharp cuts and creases which looks very appealing, especially to the younger audience
- Has distinctive design elements such as vents in between the tank and its extensions
- Looks compact enough to be misjudged as a 150cc bike
- Lacks the big-bike appeal and the design may not be to everyone’s taste

Tractable and relaxed
- The 300cc engine is extremely tractable and super refined. You can slot the bike in 5th or 6th gear and ride around town effortlessly
- The clutch is also very light, and one can slot the bike in 6th gear at 40kmph and roll on the throttle till 110kmph without any stress
- The engine lacks the zestiness and punch which one expects from a modern-day 300cc motorcycle
- You will feel the vibrations creeping across the rev range which will hamper the riding experience

- The wide 150-section rear tyre keep it stable when riding at high speeds
- Both, front and rear brake pads could do with more bite and feedback as it robs you of confidence while braking hard

- The inverted fork and the monoshock does a great job of absorbing bumps and potholes effortlessly and keep the rider and pillion comfortable
- The ABS calibration is quite good and intervenes smoothly during emergency braking conditions

- It has an accessible seat height of 789mm is a great boon for riders of all heights
