Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass Sandstorm Edition has been launched with prices ranging from Rs 19.49 lakh to Rs 27.33 lakh (ex-showroom). It is primarily being offered as an additional kit with a few cosmetic enhancements, a few accessories and a feature upgrade, and commands a premium of Rs 50,000 over the standard variants it is based on – Sport, Longitude and Longitude (O).

Features: The Jeep Compass’ feature list includes a 10.1-inch system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, an Alpine sound system with a subwoofer, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, keyless entry with push-button start, auto LED headlamps and auto wipers. It gets safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.

Engine: The Compass is only offered with a sole 170PS 2.0-litre diesel engine, paired with a 6-speed manual with the two-wheel-drive model. It also features an optional 9-speed automatic transmission, available with both two-wheel and all-wheel-drive variants. The Compass measures a length of 4,405mm, a width of 1818mm and has a height of 1,640mm. Its wheelbase stretches across 2,626mm.

Rivals: The Jeep Compass rivals the VW Tiguan, Citroen C5 Aircross, Tata Harrier, and Hyundai Tucson.

Variants: The Jeep Compass is available in six broad variants: Sport, Longitude, Longitude (O), Limited (O), Black Shark (O) and Model S (O). The Compass can be had in the following colours: Techno Metallic Green, Pearl White, Silvery Moon, Brilliant Black, Exotica Red, Grigio Magnesio Grey, and Galaxy Blue.
