- Vibrations can be felt at city speeds, though they subside at higher speeds
- Low mileage, but its a performance bike after all
Handling

- Extremely light on its feet and easy to maneuver
- Sharp braking performance adds to confidence
- Metzeler tyres lose grip under aggressive riding
- At high lean angles, the bike can feel less planted
Ride Quality

- Adjustable suspension at both ends offers a balance of comfort and sportiness
- Even with stock setup, it absorbs road bumps well
- The ride quality can feel a bit stiff on rougher roads when pushing hard

Verdict

- Superb performance at an attractive price

- Great for riders seeking an aggressive bike
- Vibrations at city speeds and aggressive design may not appeal to all
- It’s not the best choice for first-time riders or the faint-hearted
Key Things to Know about Duke 390
- Improved performance means this is the quickest bike in its segment
- Brakes feel sharp and predictable
- Adjustable suspension handles bad road well even in its stock setting
- Lower seat height should make it more accessible to shorter riders
- Feels super light on its feet and agile when changing directions
- You can barely feel any engine heat, even in bumper to bumper traffic
- Motor has become a lot smoother than before
- Some of the panel gaps are a little too pronounced
- H-rated Metzeler tyres feel a little squiggly when pushing the bike hard and the signature KTM orange colour option looks too garish in this model
KTM has knocked it out of the park with this third generation of the 390 Duke. Not only is it extremely exciting to ride, it handles everyday riding and highway touring quite well too, thanks to the more refined motor. And even though its price might seem a bit steep, it feels well justified given everything the bike offers.
