Key Things to Know about RC 125

Upside
  • Slightly more ergonomic than before, Larger seat, Excellent handling
Downside
  • Rather expensive for a bike with so little power
Expert's Conclusion

The KTM RC125 could be a great beginner sportbike for younger riders making their way into the world of sport riding. While the handling packaging is excellent and friendly, the lack of performance will lead a lot of riders to outgrow the RC 125 really. And the fact that you can get the more powerful and equally great handling Yamaha R15 V4 for almost the same price deflates this baby KTM’s proposition.

The ktm rc 390 is not sporty but an adventurous and active bike. The exterior design is very modern and looks quite cool specially for daily commute purposes. I have the red colour bike which looks very attractive. The boot space is very spacious and can be used comfortably. The best thing about it is its affordable but the features like moderate weightedness and conenience are worth the price.

Built with many uncountable benefits, the ktm rc 125 is a cool and amazing model. It has distinguishing features and functions that makes it stand apart from the other ktm models. It is a tad bit expensive but its worth the quality and features that it comes with. The ground clearance is good. The mileage is good and the powerful engine provides a good amount of cc. I would definitely recommend this bike.

Ktm RC 125 is a true sports bike with attractive design and durable build quality. it comes with a 125cc engine which looks small after seeing the body structure. it gives mileage of 40kmpl and the maintenance cost is moderate. according to me the pricing is so high for a 125cc engine bike. beside the price I am happy with the riding quality.

Very high price

It is one of the best sports bike under 2 lakh and it also gives good mileage with the impessive riding experience. The seat of this bike is large and is very great to handle this bike but the price is very high for what it gives with low power. The engine of this bike is potent and the brakes performs really good but at this price there are many bikes with the big capacity engine and it feels unpowered.

RC 125 Key Highlights

Price: KTM RC 125 is available in two colours and can be purchased for Rs 1,89,542 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Design: The iconic twin-projector headlight is replaced by a broad halogen headlight in the last updated RC 125. The bike also comes with fairing-mounted DRLs and LED indicators. The side fairing, in conjunction with a curved radiator, directs hot air away from the rider's legs, making rides more comfortable during slow moving traffic.

Features: The new RC 125 gets a LCD instrument console, borrowed from 250 Adventure. It displays bits like speed, engine RPM, trip-meter/odometer readings, real-time mileage, distance-to-empty and average speed, along with the general trove of information. The display is quite informative, however, it misses out on Bluetooth connectivity. The bike also skimps on the LED headlight unit, which its larger siblings come with. Hence, the RC 125 comes with a halogen headlight, while the tail lamp and blinkers continue to be LED units.

Engine: KTM RC 125 is powered by a single-cylinder, 124.7 cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 14.5PS and 12Nm. The motor comes paired with a 6-speed transmission and the bike gets a 13.7 litre fuel tank. The bike is put together on a tubular split-trellis frame, which is suspended on a 43mm front USD fork and 10-step-preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear (both being WP Apex units). Braking is handled via a 320mm disc with radial calliper up front and 230mm rear disc with a floating calliper setup, with single-channel ABS coming as standard. The bike rolls on 17 inch alloy wheels, which come wrapped in 110-section (front) and 150-section (rear) tubeless MRF tyres. The bike weighs 160kg (kerb) and has 835mm seat height, along with 158mm ground clearance.

Rivals: The 2022 KTM RC 125 goes up against the likes of the Yamaha R15 V4. In terms of hardware, the two supersport machines are on par with each other. The R15 V4 is a better performer, given its larger 155cc mill with more power on tap. At a price similar to RC 125, you could also consider buying the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Jawa and the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Variants: The RC 125 is offered as a single standard variant, with two paint schemes (Silver & Black).
