The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has been updated with a new Pewter Grey colour option. Check out the details here including the price. If you’re planning to buy one, take a look at the latest price list here.

It is a streetfighter based on the Pulsar NS200 with a smaller engine to take on the 160cc sporty bike segment in India.

Check out Bajaj's SIAM (Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers) sales data for June 2023 here.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Engine

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is powered by a 160.3cc single-cylinder air-cooled BS6.2-compliant engine with oil cooler. It churns out 17.2PS at 9000rpm and 14.6Nm at 7250rpm, making it the most powerful motorcycle in its segment. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Built on a perimeter frame, the updated NS160 runs a 33mm upside down fork and Nitrox monoshock at the rear. Braking is done via a 300mm front and a 230mm rear circular disc with dual-channel ABS and Grimeca calipers. Bajaj has wrapped the 17-inch alloy wheels with 100/80 and 130/70 section MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres. It tips the scales at 152kg kerb. The previous-gen NS 160 runs a telescopic fork and gets a 260mm front and a 230mm rear petal disc with single-channel ABS paired with ByBre callipers. The 17-inch alloys are wrapped in 90-section front and 120-section rear tubeless tyres. It is also a kilo lighter at 151kg kerb.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Design

From the Bajaj Pulsar NS160’s looks, it is evident that the motorcycle carries the genes of its bigger brother, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The muscular fuel tank is complemented by the sleek-looking headlamp up front. It comes with a split seat setup From the Bajaj Pulsar NS160’s looks, it is evident that the motorcycle carries the genes of its bigger brother, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The muscular fuel tank is complemented by the sleek-looking headlamp up front. It comes with a split seat setup and raised clip-on handlebars to ensure sporty yet comfortable ergonomics. The rear portion could’ve looked even more aggressive without the bulky tyre hugger. However, the tyre hugger is quite practical in keeping muck and splashes away, particularly during monsoons. The underbelly exhaust further adds to the centralised mass.

Key Features of Bajaj Pulsar NS160

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 comes with a halogen headlamp with pilot laps on both sides. The indicators are bulbs whereas the tail lamp is LED. Bajaj could’ve equipped the motorcycle with an LED headlamp. The bike comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster which houses the regular run-of-the-mill information like speed, revs, fuel level, clock, odometer and trip meter readings. The updated model gets a revised console and additionally indicates the gear position, real time mileage and distance to empty readouts. It still misses out on smartphone connectivity and navigation.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Competitors

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 rivals the Suzuki Gixxer, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4, the Hero Xtreme 160R in the 150-160cc naked segment.

  • pulsar NS160 for everyday drives

Excellent Bajaj pulsar NS160 for everyday drives exhaust sound of the bike is only great to hear at higher rpm yet in addition as the bike crosses 6000rpm vibration crip in. I favor Motul 7100 20w50 motor which makes my bike motor smoother and furthermore has less vibration contrasted with Bajaj motor oil vibration is endurable when we use Motul motor oil likewise less warming issues in stop-go traffic assuming we ride this bike thoughtlessly implies on the off chance that you ride this continually over 90 mileage drop to 35kmpl not less than 35 due to Motul motor oil before that I use to get 25kmpl.
