A new variant of the NTorq 125 has been teased, and it is likely to be called the NTorq 125 XT. Here’s what it could get:

The TVS NTorq 125 is the Hosur-based bikemaker’s most powerful 125cc scooter, and is also one of the most feature-packed scooters in its segment. Now, taking the NTorq lineup even further ahead, the company has teased a new variant of the NTorq 125. Going by the caption in the teaser image, it is likely to be called the TVS NTorq 125 XT. Here’s what we think it could be all about:

A Tech-savvy Update For The NTorq?

The TVS NTorq 125 already has segment-first riding modes in the Race XP variant. TVS could now go a step ahead and introduce a mild-hybrid system. However, considering the NTorq’s sporty genes, the system will be used to provide extra acceleration rather than focus on enhancing fuel efficiency. Expect TVS to throw in a silent starter for convenient, noiseless starts too.

The upcoming variant also seems to be rolling on redesigned wheels that look sleeker than the current ones. Additionally, the scooter gets a new blue livery with grey and green highlights.

NTorq 125 XT: Launch Timeline, Expected Price and Rivals

TVS is likely to launch the XT variant some time next week. It will likely be slotted above the current top-end Race XP variant, and could cost around Rs 3,000 - Rs 4,000 over the Race XP, which retails at Rs 89,211 (ex-showroom Delhi). The upcoming flagship variant will go up against the Yamaha RayZR 125 Street Rally, Honda Grazia Repsol Edition, Suzuki Avenis, and Hero Maestro Edge 125 connected.
