Expert's Conclusion
TVS has done an incredible job in ironing out the sore spots of the Apache RR 310 with the BS6 update. It is loaded with tech, making it the most technologically advanced motorcycle in its class. The new prices are quite close to its fiercest rival -- the KTM RC 390. While it may lack the outright performance of the RC 390, the Apache RR 310 BS6 makes up for it by being a well-rounded machine that can do daily duties as well as corner carving or even touring, for that matter.

TVS Apache RR 310 Overview
The TVS Apache RR 310, manufactured in Hosur, stands as the premier supersport model in the lineup. It boasts a reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine, which is shared with the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS. This makes it the first TVS bike to be built in collaboration with BMW Motorrad. TVS has continuously enhanced the street-legal version through the Built-To-Order (BTO) update and has also been revamping the One Make Championship race-spec RR 310.
TVS Apache RR 310 Key Highlights
Price: The TVS Apache RR 310 is priced at Rs 2,72,000. The BTO one with the Race Kit and the Dynamic Kit installed along with the Race Replica Graphics retails at Rs 2,96,500 (both ex-showroom Delhi).
Design: TVS has retained the distinctive shark-inspired design of the Akula concept without significant alterations. In the latest version, you have the flexibility to personalize the color scheme, including the alloy wheels. Additionally, you can select the TVS Racing livery, and there's the option to incorporate a customized racing number on the visor to suit your preferences. Even though there have been no changes compared to the first generation RR 310, it still manages to turn heads. Muscular fairing makes it look like a big bike, and complements well with the raised tail section.
Features: The TVS Apache RR 310 stands out for its extensive array of features, some even segment-first. The updated TFT display not only offers the convenience of storing and viewing documents like the bike's RC book and license on the instrument cluster but also features new elements such as a dynamic engine rev limit indicator, a day trip meter, and an over-speed indication. This bike also gets an all-LED lighting, a slip-and-assist clutch, and dual-channel ABS with varying levels of intervention. It's important to note that while the ABS can be adjusted, it cannot be fully deactivated for the rear wheel.
Engine: The TVS Apache RR310 retains the same 312.2cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine developed in collaboration with BMW Motorrad, producing 34PS and 27.3Nm. TVS has addressed the issue of vibrations that plagued the earlier model. Notably, the RR 310 offers four distinct riding modes: Track and Sport modes, delivering the full 34PS and 27.3Nm, and Urban and Rain modes, which provide slightly reduced power at 28.5PS and 25Nm. The latter two modes cater to everyday commuting needs, potentially enhancing mileage both in the city and on the highway. The TVS Apache RR 310 is built on a tubular steel trellis frame. While the standard model keeps the suspension setup from the previous version, there's now an option to equip the bike with the Dynamic Kit. This kit includes fully adjustable suspension on both ends, with the fork featuring 20-step compression and rebound damping along with a 15mm preload adjustability. The monoshock offers 20-step damping and 10-step preload adjustment. It gets a 300mm front petal disc brake and a 240mm rear petal disc brake setup. It has a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres, kerb weight of 174kg and a seat height of 810mm. Michelin Road 5 tires are a notable addition, ensuring excellent traction on both the track and road. For those seeking a more track-focused experience, TVS offers the Race Kit for the new Apache RR 310. This kit enhances the bike's ergonomics, featuring aggressively positioned clip-on handlebars and footpegs raised by 30mm.
Rivals: The TVS Apache RR 310’s rivals are the Keeway K300 R, 2022 KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
