Expert's Opinion on Burgman Street
- The Suzuki Burgman Street is a maxi-styled scooter which has a large front end
- The scooter is very fuel efficient and is spacious enough for two adults to sit comfortably
- It comes with more features and has become more expensive than before
- The maxi-styled scooter design gives it a lot of floorboard space
- The large front-end makes it look quite imposing and has a good road presence
- Despite having 12-inch wheels on the top-end variant, the scooter looks very disproportionate
- The engine is quite smooth and fuel-efficient as it returns a tested mileage of 61.9kmpl in the city and 54.95kmpl on highway
- The performance is good too and does the 0-40kmph in a tested 3.71 seconds
- The scooter can easily cruise at 70-75kmph without breaking a sweat
- Makes 0.1PS less than its predecessor but that’s insignificant in the real world
- Its long wheelbase keeps it stable
- The brakes are linear and controlled which allow the scooter to stop on a dime
- It can stop from 80kmph to 0kmph in just 36.35 meters (tested)
- Brake levers lack feedback which would have made the riding experience better
- It's not the most comfortable and confidence inspiring while changing directions
- The front end absorbs bumps quite well and with a relative ease
- The overall setup is firm especially the rear which tosses you up over sharp imperfections
- The rear shock does not absorb bumps as expected which affects the overall riding experience
- Has a relatively relaxed and comfortable riding posture
- The seat is spacious and long enough for two adults
- The soft seat means city riding is very comfortable
- The soft seat cushioning can get uncomfortable over long distances
- The LCD instrument cluster is simple and easy to read
- Supports smartphone connectivity which allows for turn-by-turn navigation
- Gets an LED headlight
- Could do with a TFT display update to keep up with times
- The Burgman Street is a refined and fuel-efficient scooter
- Its long, spacious seat and a comfortable riding posture makes it a great family-oriented scooter
- Though the high price tag is hard to justify due to its poor ride quality and lack of features as compared to its rivals
Pros and Cons of Burgman Street
- Gets comfortable ergonomics
- A powerful 125cc motor
- Looks quite appealing and is available in some exciting colour options
- Price is a bit too much
- The design looks unproportioned
