Suzuki Avenis Bike Latest Updates

Suzuki Avenis is the sportiest scooter from the Japanese brand. It shares several of its mechanicals with the Burgman Street.

Suzuki Avenis Engine

Powering the Suzuki Avenis is a single-cylinder, fuel-injected, 124cc, air-cooled engine, which works in conjunction with a CVT transmission. The motor is capable of producing 8.7PS and 10Nm. Suspension is handled by a telescopic fork up front and swingarm-mounted dual rear shock absorbers. Braking is taken care of via a front disc and a drum unit at the rear, with CBS coming as a standard feature. It rolls on 12 inch front and 10 inch rear alloy wheels, which are wrapped in 90-section tubeless tyres. The scooter weighs 106kg (kerb) and has a 160mm ground clearance, along with 780mm seat height. The fuel tank capacity on the Avenis stands at 5.2 litres.

Suzuki Avenis Variants

Suzuki Avenis is offered in two variants by the company: standard Avenis and Avenis Race Edition. The standard variant of this scooter comes in four colours (Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey/Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Blaze Orange/Glass Sparkle BlackPear Mirage White/Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey & Metallic Matte Black/Glass Sparkle Black). The flagship Avenis Race Edition, however, comes in a standard paint scheme, which is called Metallic Sonic Silver/Metallic Triton Blue. Apart from the colour schemes, and connectivity in the Base version, the rest of the scooter is the same across both variants.

Suzuki Avenis Design

The Avenis gets a sporty-looking bodywork, featuring a sleek apron-mounted LED headlight, handlebar cowl-integrated turn-indicators, along with fly screen, creased, dual tone side panels and split LED tail-lights. The scooter comes with colour-coded split pillion grab-rails on some colour variants. The Race Edition of this scooter gets a sporty Suzuki MotoGP-themed livery with Suzuki branding on its side panels. The exhaust unit on it looks similar to the one found on Suzuki Burgman Street. Overall, the design of Suzuki Avenis is quite reminiscent of the TVS NTorq 125.

Key Features of Suzuki Avenis

The Suzuki Avenis boasts a fully-digital LCD instrument console, which gets Bluetooth connectivity through a smartphone, which enables turn-by-turn navigation, Call/SMS alerts and phone’s battery level. The console also displays an overspeed alert, including a distance indicator, among others. The Avenis comes with an apron-mounted cubby hole, along with an integrated USB-charging port. It has a decent 21.8 litre underseat storage, an external fuel filler cap, two utility hooks (one on the apron and one below the seat), side-stand engine stop function and a silent engine starter, along with a kill switch on the switchgear.

Suzuki Avenis Competitors

The Suzuki Avenis competes with the likes of the TVS NTorq 125, Honda Grazia 125, Aprilia SR 125 and the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid. Other alternatives that you can consider buying in a similar price range include the TVS Raider 125, Honda Shine, and the Bajaj Pulsar 125.

Suzuki Avenis Pros and Cons

  • Avenis Advantages

Peppy performance; Frugal and smooth motor; Brilliant ride quality

  • Avenis Disadvantages

Derivative looks; Stopping power could be better; Asking price is a bit too high

  • Expert's Conclusion

Suzuki's sporty 125cc scooter looks quite a lot like its rivals but it does leave a great impression on us. The styling fits the sporty persona, has zippy performance and still doesn't compromise on the practical stuff.

The Suzuki Avenis is a one of a kind idea in the bike portion, zeroing in on cutting edge plan and metropolitan versatility. Its strong lines, creative lighting, and contemporary components put it aside from customary bikes. The Avenis intends to give an electric versatility arrangement, underlining eco-benevolence and effectiveness. With highlights like savvy network and cell phone mix, it's customized for current metropolitan living. While it may not be generally accessible yet, its ground breaking approach and electric power train pursue it an interesting decision for ecologically cognizant riders who need a brief look into the eventual fate of metropolitan portability.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Avenis

Q. Which scooter is best Suzuki Avenis or Suzuki Access 125?
  • Selecting the right scooter would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. The Suzuki Access 125 is one of the most refined scooters in India. It offers superb ride quality and soaks up bumps really well. It has all the crucial updates to help it continue its streak of being the best-selling scooter in the 125cc segment. Sure it does have its own set of shortcomings but as an overall package, the Suzuki Access 125 is capable of holding its own in the competitive segment. On the other hand, the Avenis is an all-new scooter designed to appeal to younger audiences. The sharp-looking apron gets several creases, and it houses an all-LED headlamp. The bulb indicators are housed in a sporty-looking handlebar cowl with an integrated flyscreen. The side panels also get cuts and slashes for an added dose of sportiness. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city accordingly for dealership details.
Q. Which scooter is best Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid Street Rally or Suzuki Avenis?
  • Selecting the right scooter would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. Yamaha Ray-ZR 125 is equipped with an 125 cc Air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine that generates a max power of 8.2 PS @ 6500 rpm and a max torque of 9.7 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The Ray ZR 125 Fi gets new features such as LED DRLs, a digital instrument console, and ‘Quiet Engine Start’ (similar to Honda’s silent-start system) and side stand engine cut-off. Powering the scooter is the same 125cc fuel-injected engine as seen on the new Fascino.
Q. What is the difference between started edition or sports addition?
  • Inspired by Suzuki’s MotoGP machine, the Avenis also dons a striking shade of Metallic Triton Blue, better known as the Race Edition. Just as the name suggests, you get the scooter draped in a gloss blue shade with the Suzuki livery on the sides. The Metallic Triton Blue costs just Rs 300 more than all the four options mentioned above. In our opinion, the Race Edition not only looks the sportiest of the lot but is also a steal deal when compared to the remaining paint options from the Avenis’ palette. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
  • In standrand edition you wont get bluetooth enabled which helps you to get lot of important features through suzuki connect app

Q. Which is the best scooter between Avenis and Burgman?
  • Selecting between the Suzuki Avenis and Suzuki Burgman Street would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the brand, service availability, features required, performance, etc. The Avenis is an all-new scooter designed to appeal to younger audiences. The sharp-looking apron gets several creases, and it houses an all-LED headlamp. The bulb indicators are housed in a sporty-looking handlebar cowl with an integrated flyscreen. The side panels also get cuts and slashes for an added dose of sportiness. On the other hand, not only is the Burgman better in terms of performance and fuel efficiency, but it also offers a more mature and relaxed ride experience thanks to its blend of seating position, refinement and ride quality. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city accordingly for dealership details.
