India Kawasaki Motors has announced that it will be offering cash discounts on all its models under its latest scheme called ‘Monsoon Offer’. This includes a cash discount of Rs 41,000 on the Ninja 300. The Japanese manufacturer is also offering discounts on other models such as the Kawasaki Versys 650 and KLX models.
The Versys 650 gets a cash discount of Rs 16,000, while models in the KLX range get a discount of Rs 5,000 along with a genuine Kawasaki jersey. However, there is a catch. These offers are only applicable on 2017 model year motorcycles.
Apart from the discounts, there are rumours of Kawasaki planning to heavily localise the Ninja 300, which could effectively reduce its price by up to Rs 1 lakh. Powering the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that is capable of producing 39PS power at 11,000rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 10,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain drive.
The 300cc pocket rocket is equipped with a 37mm telescopic front forks and a five-way adjustable gas-charged monoshock at the rear. The Ninja 300 rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 section front tyre and a 150/60 section rear tyre. Braking is managed by a 290mm petal disc up front and a 220mm petal disc at the rear.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 competes against the Yamaha R3 and the Benelli 302R.
