Top Car Launches And Unveilings In December Before The End Of 2022

Multiple SUVs including CNG-powered ones are incoming

With 2022 coming to a close, a handful of new models are still still left to be unveiled or launched in the country. These include all-new vehicles, new variants of existing cars and even an EV.

Here are all the confirmed and unconfirmed arrivals slated for December:

Mercedes GLB and EQB SUVs

This duo of seven-seater Mercedes SUVs will be launched tomorrow, December 2. The GLB will slot between the GLA and GLC premium SUVs, while the EQB is expected to offer a lower entry-point for Mercedes-EQ electric vehicles than the EQC SUV and EQS sedan.

BMW XM, X7 and M340i

BMW is preparing for the arrival of three new vehicles on December 10 – the facelifted 3 Series, facelifted X7 and all-new XM. The X7 has been cosmetically updated for 2022 and the sedan will arrive in its top-spec M340i guise. The XM is a plug-in hybrid that will take the crown from the X7 as BMW’s flagship SUV.

MG Hector Facelift

The revised MG Hector is expected to break cover before the year ends. It’ll get a revised front-end styling, redesigned interiors and a slew of new features including driver-assistance tech. MG has been secretive about the new Hector, but you can take a good look at its leaked images in our story

Citroen C3 EV

The all-electric version of Citroen’s entry-level hatchback is expected to make its debut in December. The C3 EV will get similar aesthetics as its ICE-powered counterpart, albeit with a longer list of features that the existing petrol C3 misses. It’ll go up against the Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV.

Toyota Hyryder CNG

Soon, the Toyota Hyryder is set to become the first compact SUV to get factory-fitted CNG in India. The CNG option will be offered on the 1.5-litre petrol-manual variants at the mid-spec S and G trim levels. It’s already available to book and here’s what you can expect from the CNG-powered Hyryder

Maruti Grand Vitara CNG

The Toyota compact SUV’s platform cousin, the Grand Vitara CNG, is also due for launch. Here, the mid-spec Delta and Zeta trim levels should get the CNG option, likely limited to the manual variants. That said, the Brezza CNG is also around the corner and it is expected to get an automatic option.
