XL6 Key Highlights
Features: The facelifted XL6 packs a host of new additions including an updated 7-inch infotainment system (from Baleno), ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera. Features such as cruise control, auto AC, and height-adjustable driver’s seat have been carried over from the outgoing model. Safety equipment consists of ABS with EBD, four airbags (standard), tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control with hill-hold assist.
Engine: The XL6 is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine (103PS/137Nm) along with DualJet and mild-hybrid tech, paired to a standard 5-speed MT. A 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters is offered instead of the 4-speed automatic option offered earlier. The manual transmission has a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.97kmpl, while that of the automatic is 20.27kmpl. The CNG kit paired to the 1.5-litre petrol engine produces a reduced output of 88PS and 121.5Nm and is geared using a five-speed manual only. The fuel efficiency when run on CNG bumps up to 26.32km/kg.
Rivals: It is a rival to the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo.
Variants: The XL6 can be had in three broad trims: Zeta, Alpha and Alpha+. The Zeta trim is also offered with a CNG kit. You can spec the MPV in six colour options namely: Nexa Blue, Brave Khaki, Opulent Red, Arctic White Grandeur Grey, and Splendid Silver. XL6 User Reviews
Nice car, Having sufficient space and features.Driving is very smooth in city traffic. On highways also1performance is good.In city mileage is between 10-14 km/ltr, And on highway it is 15-19 km/ltr.
Very good option as a family car, captain seats gives comfortable ride, suspension is good power is good, music system and all basic utility available. Overall a good choice.
Tldt: XL6 is a good city-highway car but for: bad performance and no XL7 version.1. The engine is underpowered for a car of its size, Kia Carens delivers better performance with NA Petrol.2. Safety is so-so.3. Mileage on extremely short city trips is 9 km/l, long city trips is 13 km/l and highway is 15km/l (MT)4. It is a Maruti, so after-sales service is identical to other Maruti cars.5. It is a car for those who do not want the headache of features, want cheap maintenance and proper mileage.
I have driven the automatic version of XL6. IIs very smooth and effortless. Spacious interiors and loads of features. True value for money

- Both cars are good in their own forte. Tata Harrier has got the design to impress, and save for some minor misses it’s well-equipped too. It’s definitely the one to pick if you want the big SUV experience, or if you want to be chauffeured around to work. Yes, it’s not the easiest to drive inside the city (and that's largely down to its big size), but we reckon one can get used to it over time. It’s the one that currently offers the best blend of city and highway drivability. On the other hand, the updates to the XL6 make it a better family MPV. Especially the added safety and convenience features are a welcome addition. The redesigned front face packs more attitude and offers a better road presence with new safety and premium features are a welcome addition.
