Features: The Maruti Eeco gets all the basic features like a manual AC with heater, semi-digital driver’s display, reclining front seats, engine immobilizer and a 12-volt accessory socket. For safety, the car has dual airbags, child locking doors, ABS and rear parking sensors.
Engine: The Maruti Suzuki Eeco gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 81 PS and 104 Nm. The CNG version gets a reduced output of 72 PS and 95 Nm. Transmission options include a sole 5-speed manual gearbox. In terms of mileage, the petrol unit has a claimed efficiency of 19.71 kmpl whereas the CNG unit returns 26.78 km/kg. The Eeco is 3675 mm long, 1475 mm wide, 1825 mm tall and has a 2350 mm wheelbase.
Rivals: The Maruti Eeco doesn’t find a direct competitor in India. It can be considered an affordable alternative to the lower trims of the Renault Triber.
Variants: The Maruti Eeco is available in three 5-seater and one 7-seater variants. The 5-seater has a Standard, AC and a CNG version while the 7-seater gets a single Standard variant. It must also be noted that the Eeco can be bought in a Cargo or as an Ambulance model as well. Colour options include Midnight Black, Glistening Grey, Solid White, Brisk Blue and Silky Silver.
