I basically use the bike for touring and commuting between Pune and my home town, UDWADA, GUJARAT distance 333kms one way. Have not done a lot of milage on it as I had to go through an open heart bye-pass last year. I personally maintain this bike as I had a bad experience with the Bajaj service as they charged me for oil replacement but did not put the required one litre of oil. I rode down towards Lonavla and found difficulty in downshifting. I did not find the oil in Lonavla so took the train back to Pune bought the oil, very little oil came out from the drain, put fresh oil and the bike was as good as new. After that I have replaced the oil, filters and now at the 10,000 km mark will again change the oil, filters and the spark plugs. But overall I am very happy with the bike.
