Expert's Opinion on Splendor Plus XTEC
- The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC stands out as a more premium version of the iconic Splendor Plus
- The bike features a digital instrument console and a few other changes compared to the standard Splendor
- But does the bike offer enough to stand apart and still appeal to the average consumer? We will be answering this question.
- The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC has not received a radical change in design when compared to the standard Hero Splendor Plus.
- The bike still maintains that iconic square headlight, boxy-looking tank and an overall slim profile
- The XTEC variant gets slightly more premium looking colours and styling, which manages to make the bike feel a bit more premium
- Powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. The power and torque are adequate to keep up with city traffic
- Has enough bottom-end grunt to execute quick overtakes in city traffic
- Offers an incredible tested mileage of 83.2kmpl in the city and 95.8kmpl on the highway
- Refinement is not the best and vibrations can be felt when pushing the bike upwards of 80kmph
- Feels very light and agile when riding in city traffic conditions, and the small size makes it easy to cut through traffic
- The light weight of 112kg makes it easy to move around in the parking lot
- The drum brakes do not inspire confidence when riding in the city. For better braking performance, riders will have to get the XTEC disc variant
- The rear brakes do not offer much feel, so it is easy to lock up the rear during emergency braking situations
- The Splendor XTEC’s suspension setup is set towards the stiffer side and the ride quality is not the best. You will feel a lot of the bumps and potholes on the road
- The suspension setup only balances out when riding with a pillion or heavier loads
- The bike offers a relatively upright riding posture which is quite relaxed and comfortable
- The low seat height also makes it easy for shorter riders to get their feet down
- The seat cushioning is on the softer side which makes short rides in the city very comfortable
- The soft seat doesn't do a good job supporting the rider’s weight for longer distances. After a while, the rider’s butt starts sinking into the foam making the ride uncomfortable
- The digital instrument console has a clean layout and is easy to read. The large font also makes it easy to take a glance while on the go quickly.
- The idle-start-stop system (i3S) works quite well and helps in improving the bike’s mileage
- USB charging port is a very convenient addition which makes charging on the go easy
- The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC stands out as a more premium version of the Hero Splendor Plus. It gets some much needed colour and styling changes along with some features upgrades. The bike is perfect for those who are looking for a reliable commuter, which has a proven track record.
- But the bike doesn’t manage to stand out when compared to the regular Splendor Plus. The starting price of Rs 79,911 is a bit too high and customers can also get higher capacity models like the TVS Radeon at the same price range.
Pros and Cons of Splendor Plus XTEC
- Really peppy and frugal in the city
- The bike is planted yet flickable and gets an extensive list of features for a 100cc commuter bike
- The seat gets really vibey really quick
- Suspension tuning could be better over sharp bumps and initial feedback from the front lever is not very great

Splendor Plus XTEC User Reviews

It is very good bike created from hero for regular use.I can mostly this is preferred by village people due to low cost and great mileage and service center available at every small city and it is very common bike in India so anyone can also try to fix the issue. By the way it is rough tough so can't say like it requires maintenance regularly but ya if any issue will come then it's parts is available at every small city.It is comfortable thanks to great sockup and suspension. Also tank is flat do many people use that as luggage handler. Only problem which we feel is the size of seat is very less and as we know indian family who have childrens so it is quite difficult to take children with wife. But overall it is very good bike with good build quality, pickup and performance is also good.Overall best for small family

Bike power is so nice pickup very smooth.look like royal and rich . I am using long time this compeny s bike
