Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Latest Updates

As per our sources, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is set to get a new variant, and you can read about what it will pack in our exclusive report here. In May, Royal Enfield slashed the prices of the Meteor 350 and its variants. Here's why.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Engine

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by an all-new 349cc air-cooled SOHC 2-valve motor with fuel-injection. The powerplant generates 20.4PS at 6100rpm and 27Nm at 4000rpm, working in conjunction with a 5-speed transmission. The engine is counterbalanced for optimum refinement, which is a first for a 350cc Royal Enfield. The engine nestles inside a double downtube split cradle frame which is suspended on a 41mm telescopic front fork and twin 6-stage preload-adjustable emulsion shock absorbers at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a 300mm front disc and a 270mm rear unit with dual-channel ABS as standard. The 350cc Royal Enfield bike sports a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel wrapped with tubeless 100-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres. At 191kg kerb, the Meteor 350 is 6kg lighter than its predecessor, the Thunderbird 350X.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Variants

Royal Enfield offers the Meteor 350 in three variants: Fireball for Rs 2,05,844, Stellar for Rs 2,11,924 and the top of the line, Supernova for Rs 2,22,061.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Design

Styling of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is quite similar to its predecessor, the Thunderbird 350X. This quintessential cruiser gets an easy-to-reach handlebar and forward-set footpegs to ensure a laidback and comfortable riding stance. The round halogen headlamp gets LED DRL for a slightly more modern appeal. The tear-drop shaped fuel tank flows cohesively into the low split-seat setup. Rounding off the retro appeal is the circular LED tail lamp that pops out from the mudguard and the chrome exhaust pipe looks cool.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Features

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 gets a semi-digital instrument cluster with smartphone compatibility. The secondary pod houses a TFT display for the turn-by-turn navigation called Tripper (a first for a Royal Enfield). Details like the speed, tripmeter, odometer readings, gear position, service indicator, clock are shown in the main pod. There’s also a USB port on the left switchgear and a dedicated hazard lamp switch on the right switchgear. As far as safety is concerned, the bike gets a dual-channel ABS as standard. The standard tubeless tyres should also help in handling punctures much better than tubed ones.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Competitors

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 locks horns with the Honda H’Ness CB350, Jawa Perak, Benelli Imperiale 400, Honda CB350RS and the modern Bajaj Dominar 400. But when it comes to alternatives in its price bracket, you have the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6, Jawa, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and the KTM 200 Duke to choose from.

  • We were going to have a classic

We were going to have a classic 350 but saw this the meteor 350.The red color is awesome. The speedometer odometer are best.Maps also available to the right side of speedometer. Its exaust note is soft which is the best part. The hazard flashers, All types of indicators as low battery and all.Soft seat but the pillion seat is too uncomfortable as its to small and the pillion may fall if bike gets a jerk.Vibrates a bit and fuel indicators displays false information sometimes.Rest all is good.Good for long rides.Build quality is too good.Smooth gear shifting throttle response is also nice. The head lights are powerfull. You get 'r' symbol in middle of the head light which looks beautiful. The ground clearance is nice. You get disc brakes.Pickup is good.Hte service after purchase is good they respond to problems quickly.I would love to choose the meteor over any other cruiser bike.

    Build quality

Build quality no 1 no vibration after 1oo km/h speed body shake, But its manageable.I touch 130kph top speed.0-80km/h speed its like rocket. But foot rest should be under my butt. Why re kept in front. For this sitting i hate this bike.If you kept whole body in a one line, Then i will be more happy. Its better to buy himalayan scrambler. You are taking this much price but giving us air cooled engine, Listen boss its not england, Its hot india. Please change the engine oil you give us at service station. That is semi synthetic.Give us fully synthetic. Its just your poor merket strategy for the foolish customer. If you buy re motorbikr.Dont go service station.Try to put fully synthetic oil.And please give us 6th gear.

  • 4.2

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Meteor 350

Q. Which is better between Royal Enfield Scram 411 and Royal Enfield Meteor 350?
  • The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is almost as capable as the Himalayan when it comes to performance, but is wrapped in a much more accessible package. The updates in the Scram 411 are indeed significant enough to make a difference, and also help the bike stand out. On the other hand, Royal Enfield Meteor's new J Platform motor is a clear step change from the UCE, making the Meteor 350 a far more well-rounded motorcycle than any of the previous 350s. It’s not just the engine, the gearbox feels more grown-up too and the bike handles itself and its weight rather well. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city accordingly for details.
Q. Can 2 people ride on it?
  • Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is capable of carrying the weight of two average adults.
Q. Which one is better between Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster? Tell the pros and cons of both.
  • Selecting between Yezdi Roadster and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 would depend on several factors such as your budget preference, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a good option for those looking for a comfortable city slicker and fancy occasional long-distance trips. At standstill, the Meteor actually feels much lighter than you’d imagine, and when you get going it feels unexpectedly responsive. The sharper rake and the way the new motorcycle carries its weight will put even less experienced riders at ease on this RE. Once you adapt to the quickness and lightness of the steering and the stretched-out seating position, you will find yourself slicing through traffic without breaking a sweat. However, the Meteor doesn’t make a bigger and bolder promise of its own by way of plush ride quality, a greater sense of richness or, crucially, better cruising ability. On the other hand, Yezdi Roadster is lean and muscular-looking, just like the Harley-Davidson Roadster. It comes equipped with all-LED lights, a headlight protector, bar-end mirrors, and a small windscreen. The Yezdi Roadster gets a teardrop-shaped 12.5-litre fuel tank with tank pads on both sides, a split-type seat, and cushioned backrest. The motorcycle is suspended on a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, it uses a 320/240mm disc setup assisted by dual-channel ABS with 'Road', 'Off-road', and 'Rain' modes. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for the dealership dearership details.

Q. Which one is better between Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Meteor Stellar? Is Honda Highness CB350 better?
  • The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is far from a perfect bike even in its BS6 avatar. However, in a world where everybody is trying to go retro and neo-retro, it remains the OG retro motorcycle in essence and feel. As for the Meteor 350, the thump wrapped up in a refined, easy to ride, confident and practical package sounds just right. However, when it comes to the spec sheet, there's no denying that the CB350 comes out on top, with the Meteor a close second. But that notion soon changes when you consider the Meteor's price features list. So when it comes to value proposition, Royal Enfield’s latest offering makes more sense, especially over the previous-gen Thunderbird 350X. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. Q. I am 5.2inch height can suit Meteor 350?
  • Royal Enfield Meteor 350 features a low seat height of 765mm which adds to the comfort of riders. Also, there is an accessory seat that drops the seat height by another 20mm. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. To know which accessories Royal Enfield has to offer, click here.
  • Yes with 5.4 my height I am able to manage well in test ride, I was in dilemma between CB350 and Meteor , after ride smile came on face with Meteor with height and handling, Booked a bike on Ganesh Chaturti
  • Yes. Might be a bit difficult while getting on and off the bike, can consider side stand for making it easier. Other than that there shouldn't be a problem with ride quality. If you want RE then RE meteor suits much for the mentioned height.

Q. Which is better Honda Hness 350 or RE Meteor 350? I want my bike for longer ride like 700kms and I have back pain issue too.
  • I have done couple of long rides on hness. Easy to do 400kms a day with split seats. Yet to take my meteor out on a long ride (will post once I get a chance to). But I must say short distance drive (50 kms) is more fun on meteor. Meteor has better gearing and gear changes are very smooth.
  • I have both , but Hness is more powerful bike get top end easily 130+ whereas Meteor slower than Hness.
  • Both are comfortable for long ride, meteor slight edge over Hness CB 350, over all hness is good.
