Overview
Built For No Roads!
Built For No Roads!
  • The XPulse 200 4V is a purpose-built dual-sport motorcycle from Hero which can tackle all kinds of roads with ease
  • The bike has long-travel suspension, a grunty motor with great low-end performance and a decent list of features
  • It is a great all-rounder motorcycle and could be your one-bike garage
Purpose Built

  • The Hero XPulse has a rugged design which allows the bike to go anywhere with ease
  • The large 21-inch front wheel, high-mounted beak, and long single-piece seat come well together, and makes the bike look really purposeful
  • The switchgear quality is disheartening and could have been better as they do not provide tactile feedback
A True Mountain Goat
A True Mountain Goat
  • The 200cc engine is peppy and has great low-end grunt which makes the XPulse 200 4V a hoot to ride in the city
  • It has more than enough performance to tackle challenging trails as well
  • The engine is very tractable and one can easily ride in a gear higher even at slow speeds
  • It is very fuel efficient and delivered a tested mileage of 51.59kmpl in the city and 42.28kmpl on the highway
  • The engine lacks the punch to perform quick overtakes post 95kmph and one will have to plan their overtakes well in advance
  • Vibrations are felt at the footpegs which become irritating once you cross 8,000rpm

  • The bike handles quite well despite having a 21-inch front wheel
  • It is stable while cornering which inspires confidence in the rider
  • Requires some effort to steer at both city and highway speeds
  • The front brake lacks feedback and one will have to slow down well in advance before approaching a turn
  • The rear brake is quite sensitive and easily locks up under hard braking
No Roads? No Problem!
No Roads? No Problem!
  • The long-travel suspension is soft and can take over anything you through at it
  • Sharp speed breakers, deep potholes, rocks, and anything else just flattens out with ease

A Better Commuter
A Better Commuter
  • The riding posture is upright and feels like a commuter motorcycle
  • The seat is well-padded and offers good support to keep you comfortable even at longer journeys
  • The lightweight nature allows you to easily manoeuvre the bike in parking lots
  • Despite the 825mm seat height, it is very easy to flatfoot even for a 5’8” rider thanks to the slim mid section
  • The handlebar is quite low for going off-road and a riser would have made things much better
Decent At Best
