- If you are a beginner level rider, then Duke200 will be the best choice for you. This 200cc machine is no joke and this has some serious pulling power given it is a 200cc engine. the 200 is 30k cheaper than its elder sibling the duke250.i will surely say duke250 will give better mileage when you ride it at 6000 rpm max smoothly. this is because of tuning in the ECU. the power is higher on rpm above 6000. so you need not worry about mileage because both will provide the same in the end.since the duke200 comes with an underbelly exhaust you will love the exhaust sound (i suppose). duke 200 seat height is 20mm lower than 250 which favors you. If you like modifying your machine then you can use that extra 30k to modify your 200cc like adding a fog lamp or changing the mirrors to the bar end which adds to the already sharp and stunning look than just buying a 250cc duke. So you can buy 200cc duke, enjoy your riding and then upgrade to a much higher cc machine like the duke 390 or duke 790 in the future. ENJOY SAFE RIDING:)
- Hey, I hope you're doing well. About the question, Duke 200 would be a better choice as far as I think. If you are just starting to ride(seriously), Duke 200 is a very good bike. And one more thing the mileage on the Duke 200 is better than 250 by a slight margin but if you look at it in a long run, it makes a huge difference. So, I would suggest you to go for Duke 200 but it'll be your call after all. Happy and Safe Riding.
- Duke is not meant for under 60kmph it's all abt riding atleast upto 80 kmph. please dnt bite your bait by choosing Duke 200. for your riding style as you said please go with yamaha fz 16 v3. the better commuter.
- The Duke 200 will have better mileage because of the smaller engine, service cost should be similar, however since Duke 200 has a fiber tank versus the metal tank on duke 250, Duke 200 should be cheaper to repair if you crash the bike or have an accident.
- Service cost is somewhat similar, 200 is economical and there is not much difference in power output, mileage is obviously more on 200.
- City use mailage low Service cost duke 200Highway use touring.. Mailage 30 or below 30 top end good sliper clutch
- Duke 200 is complete entry level super naked where as the dominar is meant to be a hyper cruiser so the characters of the vehicles stands contrast. it's on your purpose to choose between Duke 200 and dominar 250. it's all abt fast and street ride go with Duke 200. if its relaxed daily commute which you r forced to ride 50 to 100kms in total please. go with dominar 250 or 400 whic is pocket friendly.
- Dominar is more comfortable than Duke 200 since the longer wheelbase tends the rider to ride in a relaxed position. Duke 200 have a aggressive seating position where it might not be as comfortable as dominar. If you consider comfort... go for dominar. Also the mileage difference is just 3 to 5kmpl.
- Duke 200 has aggressive seating posture compared to dominar but it is liter and good if you love a faster bike with lot of power. costly and high maintenance but worth it if you want style and looks of a aggressive street bike

Really worth the price . The ride quality and its performance is just awesome. The mileage is good in respect to a 200cc motorcycle. I really loved it. It has a high seat which causes trouble for short riders like me, I am 5.5 ft tall and mostly struggles while taking you turns and at traffic signal stops otherwise every thing is fine. Further I could lower the seat height by adjusting suspension setup but the service center told me not to do it as the KTM company has set it by keeping balanced setup any changes in it can make it worse and reasult in a accident. I kept it as it is though I am struggling but as time passes I will get accustomed with it and learn the tricks and techniques to control the bike smoothly. I will recommend any below 5.5ft height should avoid choosing KTM bikes. Though below 5.5 ft height guys can drive the bike but its very difficult to cope up. I got a mileage of 40 kmpl on my daily commuits. The bike itself is a Beast. I love what ever i have got from ktm at the price point neglecting the height factor. I really love it.#Get Duked#Ready To Race

Excellent value for money motorcycle. This bike is an all rounder for any occasion , be it track days or touring or daily commutes ; this bike carries all the tasks with ease and tonnes of excitement when you twist your wrist. Maintenance is decent, it can feel expensive but the time intervals are at least 10000 Kms or Yearly wise. Cost can go up incase you crash the bike but parts are not too expensive or too cheap , they are always available at the SVCs. A wonderful package still and will not disappoint you if you're considering to get one.

Zero parts failure for two years so far. Great torque and responsiveness. My inseam at 840mm is perfect for the seat height. It has no ABS and I thought that would be a great feature to have and felt it should have been standard equipment for the price of the bike. I'm very impressed by the stock mrf tires so i changed to pirelli's after about 250 km.

KTM's all bikes designs are very attractive and futuristic. Duke200's engine performance is very good. But the pillion seat is just small. It is not comfortable for dual. It is very good under 200 variant bikes in India. It is very nice bike.
