Ducati Scrambler 800 Bike Latest Updates

Ducati India has announced the prices for its entire 2023 line-up of bikes with the most accessible Ducati of them all – the new-gen Scrambler Icon – will likely arrive with a price tag of Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom India). That is around Rs 1.5 lakh dearer than the outgoing edition. However, this bike, as well as its other two trims, will only arrive in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The 2023 Ducati Scrambler 800 was unveiled prior to EICMA 2022 and it’s funkier, and more tech laden than before. Here’s what’s new. The Scrambler family is Ducati’s most affordable range of motorcycles meant to bring in newer riders into the world of Ducati.

Ducati Scrambler 800 Engine

The Scrambler range is powered by a Euro 5/BS6-compliant 803cc air-cooled motor which delivers 74PS and 66Nm. The bike now features more electronic aids including cornering ABS, traction control and two riding modes. The 2023 model rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres, wrapped with dual-purpose Pirelli MT 60 RS tyres. Braking hardware comprises a single 330mm disc up front and a single 245mm disc at the rear. A steel trellis frame ties everything together with a 41mm inverted fork and a centrally mounted monoshock, both from Kayaba.

Ducati Scrambler 800 Variants

The 2023 Scrambler range will be available in just three variants: Icon, Nightshift, and Full Throttle. Prices for the 2023 Scramblers are Rs 10.39 lakh for the Icon while the other two trims will cost Rs 12 lakh (all prices ex-showroom India). Currently, prices for the Scrambler 800 Icon Dark (base variant) start at Rs 8.89 lakh. Sadly, the hardcore Desert Sled will cease to exist and the final few units will continue to be sold at Rs 12.09 lakh.

Ducati Scrambler 800 Design

The Ducati Scrambler Icon is the cheapest bike in Ducati's lineup. It's the perfect blend of retro and modernity. Minor details like the all-LED Lighting, brushed aluminium side plates on the tank, a stubby muffler and diffused LED indicators add life to the bike. Not to mention its rugged looks thanks to the slightly raised fenders, dual-purpose tyres and blacked out underpinnings. The 2023 Scramblers even offer customisable body panels allowing you to play with a plethora of new colours.

Key Features of Ducati Scrambler 800

The 2023 Ducati Scrambler will feature a 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity to interact with the Ducati Multimedia System. The system allows you to receive calls and SMS alerts on the go. The bike also gets 10-spoke alloy wheels with dual-purpose tyres and an accessible seat height of 798mm.

Ducati Scrambler 800 Competitors

In India, the Scrambler Icon competes against the Triumph Scrambler 900, Triumph Street Triple R, and the Kawasaki Z900.

    2016 Red Icon. Just a

2016 Red Icon. Just a lot of fun to ride! Light, super nimble. Very torquey but I like that. Clutch went just under 10000k, replacement cost = $1300.00. Ouch! But can’t keep the front wheel on the ground now after it’s replacement. At 6’3”, 220 lbs, bikes too small for me, wish I waited for 2019 1200 would’ve fit much better. But again, don’t care. I love the damn bike! Take it light off-roading and handles real good. Topped out at about 120 on highway. The perfect around towner. Think these are big out West US (Cali), but not so much here in NYC area, so people constantly admire. Between maintenance costs, and parts/accessories though, it’ll probably (maybe) push me away from buying Ducati again (but who really knows😝) If someone asked me, I’d def recommend if they don’t mind paying the Xtra smackers at the shop.

  • Super bikes

Basically on super bikes we couldn't expect mileage, But this ducati scrambler is most powerful vehicle in this 800 cc segment, But price is too high, That's the major disadvantage on this beast bike, Except that, Everything is pretty awesome.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Scrambler 800

Q. My yearly bike running will be 1500-2000kms which bike should I buy Ducati scrambler or Harley Davidson iron 883? Used or new?
  • Ducati Scrambler is an easy and fun-to-ride bike. Retro-cool looks, backed by modern technology, the Scrambler harks back to the days of simple motorcycling – two wheels and an empty road. Yet, it is a modern motorcycle and will appeal to all classic bike lovers. The Ducati Scrambler 800 is powered by an 803 cc air-cooled engine which produces the max power of 72.8 PS @ 8250 rpm and a max torque of 66.2 Nm @ 5750 rpm. If we talk about Harley Davidson Iron 883, it is basic and a budget way into Harley ownership. Also, it is more suitable for both city and highway rides. Harley Davidson Iron 883, is poured-in saturated power by the Evolution V-twin 883 cc air-cooled engine that is engineered with a passion to churn out a maximum power of 50.6 PS @ 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 70 Nm at 3500 rpm. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride of both bikes before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
