  • Q. My Height Is Between 5.6 Or 5.7. Is This Bike Suitable For Me For Long Rides How's The Pillion Comfort and Mileage on Highway After how much KM we should change tyres - Duke 390?

Your height is perfectly fine for this bike. Pillion Comfort: Forget that you have a Pillion Seat on the 390, the newer version pillion seat is a bit better than the older version but mainly the pillion itself will not be comfortable for a long ride.Tyres: Duke 390 comes with Metzelers, which are considered as one of the best tyres you can opt for. But as the Metz are soft rubber material they wear out easily depending upon driving, and the roads as well. If you are using them on track then they will last around 8k to 10k kms (May be less). And where as for daily commute the Metz will last a bit long till around 12k and if you stretch then you can make it to 13k kms, the life of these tyres is less but trust me upto 12k kms (in some cases, not everyone can push it till 12k kms) you will be having ride of your life with those beast tyres. I personally love the Metz and I replaced them again with Metz even though i had an option of going for Pirelli. Once you are habituated for Metz, I bet you will not go for other tyres. Mileage: On Highways its around 35 Kmpl (more or less) and in city the mileage is around 27-31 or 32 kmpl. (32 kmpl is only when you do not rev it to the max)

  • Q. Is KTM Duke 390 better or RC 390 better in speed and economically
    Uzair
    Uzair | 5 months ago

Both have same parts so maintenance on both is exactly the same. Only the faring on the RC will cost you more. Both have the same engine and power. Duke will win a drag race because of the lighter weight.RC will win on the track because it is more committed to the track, better top speed and better aerodynamics.Duke is a favorite on the streets because its more comfortable, better for touring, everyday commuting and has a bigger tank.

  • Q. Which bike is better for touring between KTM 390 Duke or Dominor 400? And tell me both bike fuel economy in highways?

If you are looking for the price bracket of 2.4 lakhs and you are looking for immense power, Superb pick-up with low/mid range torque and refined engine then Duke 390 is the best pick for highways. But, if you are looking for comfort, little less power than Duke 390 and a mid/high range torque offering little less pickup than Duke 390, some vibrations not much.. but much better comfort and mileage and half the price then i would suggest you Dominar 400 coz on highways what you need is comfort other than anything else. Dominar would be a better pick for touring as it is even high on mileage..

As per the requirements, Royal Enfield Classic 350 would be a good option for the bike has been a good performer over time. The 346 cc engine generates 20.07 PS of power and a claimed mileage of 40.8 km/l. The estimated service cost for the Classic 350 in 3 years is Rs. 16,888. It all depends upon how you ride, I used to own a duke 200 and the mileage I got was 47Kmpl on a highway and in city it used to touch close to 39 and 40. I am a single user of the bike and I use to take good care of my bike. but overall it varies because lot of factors come in.

  • Q. How is the duke 390 to ride in the city? how much is the servicing cost in free servicing & Paid servicing & do the service center provide good service?
    Anshul
    Anshul | 7 months ago

Depends.. which city do you live in.. its climate and road conditions.. Duke 390 is a kind of sport bike and is meant to race hence it does not have soft suspension for giving the rider stability on roads. If you live in a city like Pune where traffic is much lesser than bangalore.. delhi etc. and even roads are broad and good.. properly maintained with less potholes then Duke 390 is a good choice for daily commute.. If in case you live in a city which is full of slow moving traffic.. roads with potholes and climate conditions having hot climate most of the times then Duke 390 is not at all the right choice for daily commute as you will feel tired while riding the bike, will also feel p****d coz you will not be able to use bike’s potential for which you have paid so much... You will end up facing lots and lots of heating issues near your leg and foot.. Your mileage will be somewhere around 25-26 kmpl. And you will not be able to overtake other vehicles in a slow moving traffic as duke 390 has the widest handlebar among all the street n***d bikes... Now, when it comes to the servicing part, i found it better than Bajaj, Honda and TVS. Servicing cost ranges from 2500 to 6,000
