Bajaj Chetak: Check Out What’s Different Between The Two Variants?

The differences while subtle add a premium touch to the scooter

Bajaj steps into the electric space with the launch of the Chetak electric scooter, which is priced from Rs 1,00,000 (ex-showroom Pune and Bengaluru). It is available in two variants: Urbane and Premium. Take a look at this image gallery to understand the differences between the two variants:

Let’s start with the way the Chetak looks. It is quite traditional, with elegant lines and curvaceous body panels. Even the alloy rims are sleek and stylish.

The metal body adds to the premium quotient of the scooter while giving it an added sense of trust and dependability.

Under the skin, the Chetak gets the same 4kW BLDC motor as well as the same 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is capable of going 95km on a single charge in Eco mode and drops to 85km in Sport mode.

The main distinguishing factor between the Urbane and the Premium variant is that the latter gets a front disc brake with metallic-finish rims in the shade Slate Grey or Satin Black.

On the more affordable Urbane variant, you get drum brakes at either end with the rims getting a more basic solid matte black finish.

More subtle changes on the Urbane trim include either a black or medium grey seat cover, Siberian silver bezels, black plastic floor mats, and two glossy solid colours.

Comparatively, the Premium trim gets tan-coloured seats, Satin silver bezels, dark grey floor mats, and four glossy metallic colours. For the Premium variant, you would have to shell out Rs 15,000 more. But Bajaj will provide you with a home charger free of cost with this trim.
