Snazzier Destini 125 Is Here!

The Platinum Edition demands a premium of Rs 2,000 over the standard model

Just over a week after launching the XPulse 200T BS6, Hero MotoCorp has launched the Destini 125 Platinum Edition. The new top variant is available only with alloy wheels and features cosmetic changes.

What's The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?

The Destini 125 Platinum Edition carries a price tag of Rs 72,050, which is almost Rs 2,000 more than the standard variant. The scooter goes up against the Suzuki Access 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and the Honda Activa 125.

What's New?

Changes are only cosmetic, much like what the brand did with the Pleasure Plus Platinum and the Maestro Edge 125 Stealth. The scooter is available in matte black and brown inner panels, and complementing this colour scheme is the dual-tone seat. The alloy wheels get a white rim sticker, which adds to the retro appeal.

To go with its ‘Platinum’ tag, the brand has given the scooter a generous helping of chrome. The bar-end weights, mirrors, front apron, fender, side panels, and the exhaust shield are all awash with the bling treatment.

What's Unchanged?

The Destini 125 Platinum Edition continues to use the same 124cc fuel-injected engine developing 9.12PS and 10.4Nm.

ZigSays

The Hero Destini 125 packs plenty of features, and its BS6 avatar gets LED DRLs and a couple of other goodies too. However, considering the Platinum Edition demands a premium of Rs 2,000 over the standard model, we would have loved to see a USB charger as a standard fitment.
