Currently, we have seen many popular Indian scooters receive updates to keep up with the modern times and for 2024, the Hero Destini 125 gets a proper facelift alongside minor upgrades.
Design
Similar, But New
- Similar silhouette with a slightly modernized design language
- Projector headlight, LED DRLs & H-shaped LED tail light look great

- Top-spec variant gets the i3s start-stop function which increases fuel efficiency
Handling
Poised
- A new chassis has slightly elongated the wheelbase
- It now rides on 12-inch wheels compared to the 10-inch wheels on the older model
- Longer wheelbase and larger wheels make it feel stable, even at higher speeds

- A segment first feature is self-canceling indicators
- The new switchgear feels premium and a standout feature is the backlit start button
- Underseat storage does not fit two half-face helmets like some of its competitors
Verdict

- The new styling gives it better road presence and helps it appeal to a wider audience
- With all the other minor updates, it has become a more convenient scooter
- It is still a family-oriented scooter that will be appreciated by a more mature audience owing to its comfort and practicality
- If someone is looking for something sporty, they would be better off looking at other options
Key Things to Know about Destini 125
Upside
- Stylish looks and premium design bits makes the scooter eye catchy
- Agile and nimble handling characteristics makes the scooter really good to ride in the city
- Extensive and convenient list of features
Downside
- Storage space feels inadequate when compared to rivals
- Performance remain unchanged and this feels like a let down
- A bit towards the heavier side when compared to its rivals coming at 115kg kerb
Expert's Conclusion
The Hero Destini 125 is a no-nonsense family-oriented scooter. But compared to its main rivals, it feels like it doesn’t have the same kind of features that could make it a cut above. The 2024 update has only made minimal improvements, most of which center around design. But overall, the scooter is still quite good and worth considering if you’re looking for one for the family.
