Hero Xoom 110 Overview
Hero has launched a new variant of the Xoom 110, called the Combat edition. Here’s what makes it different from the top ZX variant of the Xoom 110.
Its prices start from Rs 71,484 (ex-showroom Delhi) and it’s available in six colour options.
The Hero Xoom 110 is Hero’s first sporty 110cc scooter and its answer to the popular 110cc Honda Dio’s dominance.
Hero Xoom 110 Key Highlights
Price: The Xoom 110 is available in four variants – LX (Rs 71,484), VX (Rs 74,917), ZX (Rs 79,967), and Combat Edition (Rs 80,967), (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). It also gets six colourways to choose from: Matt Abrax Orange, Black, Sports Red, Polestar Blue, Pearl Silver White (VX Edition exclusive), and Matt Shadow Grey (Combat Edition exclusive).
Design: The Xoom 110 features a youthful design with a striking front. Its edgy LED projector headlight gets an X-shaped LED DRL, along with an H-shape LED taillight and bulb indicators. The scoops on the side panels, along with the stubby yet chiselled exhaust, go well with the overall sporty theme of the scooter.
Features: The Xoom 110 gets features that put it on par with some 125cc scooters. It gets a fully digital instrument console along with smartphone connectivity and call/SMS alerts. The Xoom 110 also gets cornering lamps, which does feel like an overkill for a 110cc scooter. The underseat storage gets an LED light, while an open glove box on the apron gets a USB charging port. That said, the scooter does not get an external fuel-filler cap or turn-by-turn navigation.
Engine: The Xoom 110 is powered by the same 110.9cc engine as the Maestro Edge that makes 8PS and 8.7Nm. It also gets Hero’s i3S technology meant to aid mileage. The Xoom 110 is underpinned by a telescopic fork and monoshock, and rolls on 12-inchers at both ends, wrapped with MRF Nylogrip rubber. Braking is done by drum brakes at both ends, with an option of a disc brake too.
Rivals: The Xoom 110 rivals the likes of the Honda Dio and TVS Jupiter SmartXonnect variant. In the same price range, you can also look at the Ola S1 Air, TVS Raider 125, Bajaj CT 125X and Hero Glamour.

Hero Xoom 110 Expert Review
Jumping onto a sporty 125cc scooter as your first two-wheeler might be a bit too much for some new scooter riders. Hero caters to this requirement with the new Hero Xoom 110. So does the manufacturer’s first offering in the 110cc sporty scooter segment do a good job in filling that gap? Let’s take a look:
Design
The Hero Xoom 110 has a sporty and youthful design language to it. It has an aggressive look too, highlighted by the upswept lines and sharp creases. And with the 12-inch wheels, it gets a commanding presence as well. That said, the fit and finish levels along with the quality of the plastics could have been better though.
Engine, Performance & Mileage
The Hero Xoom 110, with 8PS and 8.7Nm, has enough power for some fun rides in the city and also for short highway rides. All of the torque is available from 5,700rpm onwards, so the motor builds power very quickly. But around 7,200rpm, the motor feels very buzzy. It sounds a bit rough in the lower power band but smooths out as you go faster.
In our road tests, we find out that the Xoom 110 is actually faster than most 110cc scooters and almost as quick as some of the 125cc scooters in the market as well! Not only that, the Hero Xoom 110 is also very economical, that too with a real-world tested mileage of 63.8kmpl during city commutes and 50.6kmpl on the highway.
Handling & Ride Quality
The front disc brake and rear drum brake setup offers pretty good bite and the braking feel is progressive and controlled. And the tyres offer sufficient grip to flick the scooter in and out of traffic. Overall, the Xoom 110 feels nimble and easy to handle.
Comfort
The telescopic fork and monoshock suspension on the scooter is on the firmer side. The sporty suspension setup aids handling but makes the scooter a bit uncomfortable when going over potholes and speed breakers. The riding posture feels neutral and upright and the seat is wide, long and comfortable. If the suspension setup would have been a little softer, it would have made the riding experience of the Xoom 110 much more comfortable.
Features
The Hero Xoom 110 gets all-LED lighting, cornering lights, a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, and call and SMS alerts. The instrument console displays a real-time mileage indicator aligned with other readouts such as speedometer, odometer and trip meter. Enhancing the practicality of the scooter is the fairly large underseat storage with a boot light, cubby holders behind the front apron and a USB charger below them. Lockable flaps on the cubby holders would have been a good addition as the risk of something like a phone falling out of them on generally poor Indian road conditions is high. Also, turn-by-turn navigation is a miss. Including this feature over the cornering lights would’ve made it a lot more convenient.
Should You Buy Hero Xoom 110?
If you are a new or a young rider looking to buy your first sporty scooter, then you can consider the Hero Xoom 110 as it offers decent sporty performance, good looks and very good mileage on regular road conditions. And with prices starting from Rs 71,484 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is pretty affordable too.
