BREAKING: Triumph-Bajaj Twins’ India Launch Date Revealed

Not even an entire month to go for the bikes to be here!

The Triumph-Bajaj Scrambler and Roadster finally have an India-launch date and that is July 5! Now while Triumph’s teaser shows a bike with a ribbed seat (hinting towards a scrambler), we think both bikes will make their India-debut together. Rajiv Bajaj had earlier confirmed that the bikes will debut together and hence it makes sense for them to be launched together as well.

The bikes have been spotted multiple times in India and abroad in production-ready guise. It was hence not surprising that they’ll be making their debut on July 5. Among the multiple reasons that make the bikes rather exciting, the primary one is obviously the new engine. It’ll likely be a 350-400cc liquid-cooled one with around 35PS on tap. Underpinnings, as we’ve previously seen, will be a USD fork and monoshock. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at both ends. Here’s what its instrument console will be like.

As for the pricing, with Bajaj’s scale of operations, we think the Roadster could be priced at around Rs 2.25 lakh and its rivals will be the KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R and the Zontes GK350. The Scrambler, on the other hand, with its spoke wheels, front fender and other rough road-ready bits could cost around Rs 2.50 lakh (both ex-showroom) and then go up against the likes of the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Yezdi Scrambler and the Honda CB350RS. With the Harley-Davidson X440 making its debut on July 3, the first week of July is surely going to be an action-packed one! Stay tuned to ZigWheels as we’ll be bringing you everything you need to know about the two-wheeler market.
