Triumph Speed 400 On-road Price Analysis; Is it Worth it?

Just a couple of days after changing the game in the sub-500cc bike segment in India, Triumph has revealed the on-road prices of the Speed 400, and it is a pretty attractive tag. In this story, we shall analyse how value-for-money the bike is. But first here’s the on-road price in the three major states.

Now at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.33 lakh, the Triumph Speed 400 is more affordable than all of its rivals like the BMW G 310 R or even the Honda CB300R, and is at par with Bajaj Dominar 400.

In Delhi and Maharashtra, the on-road price of the bike, too, is under Rs 3 lakh mark. That is definitely attractive. With what it has on offer, in terms of premium hardware, powerful yet tractible engine and the Triumph Bonneville-inspired looks, the deal seems to be sweet.

Do note that it isn’t as manic as the KTM 390 Duke, but more soulful and friendlier. This should pose it as a more amateur-friendly bike, or even for experienced riders, a less committed fun ride. Even in terms of handling the Triumph Speed 400 is a delight and effortless in a lot of ways.
