Triumph-Bajaj Roadster Spotted Testing On Pune Roads, Again highlights

We have spotted the Triumph-Bajaj Roadster doing test runs around Pune once again and it’s been spotted at night for the first time. So we can clearly see its LED headlight in action, and it looks nice and bright!

Our recent 160cc sporty commuters’ comparo showed that Bajaj makes some of the best LED headlights in the market today and we expect the upcoming Triumph Bajaj bikes’ headlights to be just as good.

The shots also reveal more details about the Roadster’s ergonomics. The rider seems to be sitting pretty upright with slightly outstretched arms, meaning the rider could have a slight lean to reach the handlebar. Besides, the relatively sharp rake means the bike looks super compact too. The test mule also features a gaudy saree guard along with a massive tail rack, which looks big enough to accommodate a large top box.

As for its heart, the Roadster and the Scrambler will likely have a 350-400cc liquid-cooled engine, possibly making around 35PS. Underpinnings, as we’ve previously seen, will be a USD fork and monoshock. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at both ends. Here’s what its instrument console will be like.

The bikes will be making their global debut on June 27 and will likely make their way to India later this year, perhaps in the festive season. Now with Bajaj taking over Triumph’s India operations, the former is aiming to scale it to a massive 120 cities from the current 15. Pricing for the Roadster could be around the Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. With KTM readying the next-gen 390 Duke, putting the Roadster against the 2023 KTM 390 Duke would be an absolute treat to watch! Other rivals to the Roadster include the Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R and the Zontes GK350.
