Triumph Bonneville T100 Latest Updates
Triumph has launched the Bonnevile T100 Gold Line Edition in India at Rs 10.09 lakh, which is Rs 60,000 more than the standard model. The bike features hand-painted pintripes, new paintjob and livery. To know more details, read this story.
Triumph Bonneville T100 Key Highlights
Design: The Bonneville T100 has a distinct old school British look. Its dual-tone colours, white seat piping and chrome accents are quite exquisite. The bulbous 12-litre fuel tank gets lovely rubber tank grips. One particular highlight that we have enjoyed since the start are the faux throttle body covers, seemingly giving the impression that it is running with carburettors.
Features: A dual pod-console houses an analogue speedometer and tachometer. Two small digital displays within pack trip-related data, fuel gauge and a gear-position indicator. You can check whether the traction control is active or not via this screen as well as on a dedicated tell-tale sign. There are absolutely no LED elements here on the Bonnie T100, all lighting systems using bulbs.
Engine: The 900cc parallel-twin High Torque engine is 2.9kg lighter thanks to the weight-saving internals. This helps it rev quicker and hold the redline longer. The motor makes 10PS more than before, at 65PS. Peak torque stands at 80Nm, arriving at 3750rpm. This is nearly the exact same tune as the Street Twin, with minor differences arising due to different exhaust layouts. The engine works alongside a 5-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. Triumph has equipped the T100 with a more sophisticated cartridge telescopic front fork and a more premium Brembo brake up front. The double-cradle frame, rear disc brake, and the twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers remain unchanged. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
Rivals: Even though the Bonneville T100 packs around 167 cee cees more than the Kawasaki W800 both motorcycles have similar old school looks and riding styles. That said, the Kawasaki is significantly cheaper than the Bonnie. You can also go for the extremely value-for-money Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 if budget is a constraint.
Variants: The Triumph Bonneville T100 is available in standard and Gold Line Edition. This year, there's no Black Edition of this retro roadster.

- Yes
- Can be used for touring but not for off road
- I own an iron 883 and would say that a T 120 would be a better bet . Triumph is liquid cooled and is a better long distance tourer.
