It could be called the Honda CB300X
Honda is working on a brand-new adventure motorcycle, which is highly likely to be based on the CB300F streetfighter, and it could be called the CB300X.
Honda also launched the CB200X in 2022, an ADV-style motorcycle based on the Hornet 2.0. However, the “ADV” was simply the Hornet with fancy clothes and missed out on long-travel suspension, bigger front wheel and more ground clearance. So, if Honda does plan on rolling out the new 300cc ADV with the CB300F naked as its base, we hope that it gets the due upgrades to make it more suitable for broken and no roads.

The CB300F is powered by a 293cc, air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 24.47PS and 25.6Nm, and is priced at Rs 2,25,900 onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). Expect the ADV to come featuring the same engine, and commanding a slight premium over its naked sibling. While the CB300F’s motor wasn’t the most exciting from a naked motorcycle standpoint, as a tourer, that motor would work quite well.
With the new 300cc ADV in its portfolio, Honda would be able to offer a good middle ground between the Suzuki V-Strom SX and the KTM 390 Adventure. What we do hope is that Honda doesn’t go all out when it comes to pricing this ADV and keeps it competitive.
