Pros and Cons
- Positives
- Negatives
Honda CB300F
- Super tractable motor; Nifty features like all-LED lighting and USB-C charging
Yamaha R15 V4
- The design language
- inspired by Yamaha's larger sport bikes
- will surely appeal to enthusiasts
- It features a lightweight chassis that makes it easy to handle
- The 155cc motor in the bike is the most powerful one in the segment and gets VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology
- making it an extremely usable engine at both low and high speeds
- Despite its sporty performance
- the R15 offers decent mileage
- making it usable for daily commuting
- The top-spec M variant is the only bike in the segment to get a quickshifter
Honda CB300F
- Motor lacks excitement; Styling is fairly derivative and uninspiring; Bluetooth system is gimmicky; Braking isn’t assuring; Too pricey
Yamaha R15 V4
- The aggressive riding position may not be suitable for all riders
- especially for long-duration rides
- The rear seat is also small and lacks sufficient cushioning
- making it uncomfortable for the pillion
- Misses out on turn-by-turn navigation

- Both Yamaha R15 V4 and Yamaha YZF R15 V3 features a saddle height of 815 mm. However, the R15 V4 will be more comfortable here. The clip-on bars are positioned slightly higher and are now angled flatter, giving you a more relaxed seating posture which will prove valuable for everyday use and for longer rides. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- Both the bikes are good in their forte. While the Gixxer SF 250 offers a sporty riding experience, it isn’t an out-and-out sportbike. It does offer an affordable, and potentially more fun, an alternative to the Honda CBR250R, making it a great option for more mature riders. Whereas, Yamaha R15 V4 by sticking to its engine has a proven suite of abilities - everyday usability, unintimidating but exciting performance, and low ownership costs. So, the Yamaha R15 is more appealing and more capable than before, and despite the higher price tag still very worthy of being the first sportbike for the budding biker. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read more -2021 Yamaha R15 V4 First Ride: Eternally Young?.
- All-in-all we’d say the R15 V4 is a much better proposition, that is if you’re willing to stretch your budget. The MT-15 is a pretty good option as well if your commutes are mostly restricted within city limits. Of course, the ergos on the R15 are quite aggressive owing to its supersport pedigree. On the flip side, the MT-15 is more relaxed with a wider handlebar. Both bikes use the same VVA-equipped 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, however, there’s a minor difference in power figures. The R15 makes 18.4PS and 14.2Nm of peak torque as opposed to the MT which produces 18.5PS and 13.9Nm. The latter also uses a larger sprocket which offers more torque lower down the rev range, but this eats into its top-end performance. For a better understanding of performance and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. CB300F4.2I bought this beauty last
I bought this beauty last week, And i'm getting an average of 35kmpl (300 kms ridden). You will love this bike over other options in the price segment (sort of overkill in fact). The bike is comparatively light, Although has a big road presence view it in person and you'll get sort of confused, You will feel vibs around 7k+ but it's tolerable.Haven't checked top speed(for obvious reasons) and i'd say it's an amazing buy for a beginner.Although i'd love to see some accessories and styling components around this bike. This would definitely be a "blueprint/ project" bike for the right user if there's more accessories. And yes you get bluetooth connectivity but i can't seem to use it well with iphones. If you think it has very low power for a 300cc, Yes it is, But it's still miles and bounds better than what the competition has to offer (*cough* 300cc, *cough* torqy machine, *cough* stylish[subjective]).

CB300F4.6The bike I got for 2.22 lakhs
The bike i got for 2.22 lakhs including the bumper-to-bumper insurance. The bikes striking design is sure to draw attention. The fit and finishing are excellent. The bike is good for city driving because of its light weight(153 kg).The fuel economy which i got from this bike in the last 4 months is 34-36 kmph and its good for a 300cc bike. The bike performance below 100 is very good but it struggles above this speed and you can feel some serious vibrations in your legs and back above 100kmph.The bike has an amazing power delivery system and you can drive to its peak point.Honda cb300f is unquestionably a bike worth taking into consideration whether you are a beginner or a skilled rider if your budget is around 2.50 lakhs.
