SP160 Key Highlights
Design: It takes its style from the sporty Honda SP125, which is a sportier version of the Honda Shine 125. The SP160 looks tougher than the Unicorn, with sharp extensions on the fuel tank. If you want a bike that looks sporty but is still good for regular riding, the SP160 might interest you.
Features: The SP160 has a digital display showing basic information like fuel level, gear, trip, speed, mileage, and time. It also has LED lights, with the tail light having a cool M-shaped design similar to the SP125.
Engine: Under the hood, the SP160 and the Unicorn have the same BS6.2 162.71cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. They both produce 13.4PS of power and 14.58Nm of torque, and they use a five-speed gearbox. The suspension uses a telescopic fork and a monoshock. For braking, the double disc version has a 276mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, while the single disc version has a 130mm rear drum brake with single-channel ABS. In comparison, the Honda Unicorn has a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake. The SP160's seat is 796mm high, and it has a ground clearance of 177mm. The tyres on the sporty SP160 are wider: 80/100 -17 at the front and 130/70 -17 at the rear.
Rivals: The SP160 is a good-looking 160cc bike for daily use, not exactly for racing. It will compete with bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar P150, Yamaha FZ-S, and TVS Apache RTR 160.
Variants: The Honda SP160 comes in two versions: one with a single disc priced at Rs 1,17,500, and another with double discs priced at Rs 1,21,900. On the other hand, the Unicorn is more affordable at Rs 1,09,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 7,700 less.
