The BS6 compliant model is powered by a 99.7cc fuel-injected single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 4.4PS and 6.5Nm. TVS XL100 is not suitable for such long rides. Moreover, if you want to go for it, and if you ride 50kmph for 40 km, 5 min rest is not sufficient enough. The engine takes time to get at a normal temperature. So, We would suggest you take the rest of around 10 min for every 20kms. Also, get it checked/serviced at the authorised service center before going for such rides. Check out authorised dealership details.
Pumping dynamism down to the wheels of the XL 100 is the 4 Stroke Single Cylinder 100cc engine that produces 4.3bhp @ 6000rpm worth of maximum power and a torque output of 6.5Nm @ 3500 rpm. The moped, though stiff, offers a smooth ride quality owing to its suspension assembly that is a product of telescopic spring-type hydraulic front suspension and Swing arm with hydraulic shocks at the rear. It has a variant TVS XL 100 Heavy Duty i Touch Start and for availability & servicing, we would suggest you to get in touch with the nearest dealership for the same as they will be the better person to assist you in this matter.
The kick start would not be a problem if you maintain your vehicle from time to time. The engine requires a little bit of push to start up. If you are looking for a variant with the electric start and kick start, you can go for the TVS XL100 Heavy Duty I Touch Start variant as it has been enriched with this feature.
