The Scram 411 Is Set To Debut Next Week

The Royal Enfield Himalayan’s sibling will rival the Yezdi Scrambler

[UPDATE: The Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been launched in India. For pricing, specs and other details, head to our launch report.]

Royal Enfield has announced that the Scram 411 will be launched in India on March 15. Various spy shots have already revealed that the Himalayan’s “sensible” sibling has started arriving at dealer yards.

Thanks to the countless spy shots and the leaked brochure, pretty much everything about the bike is already known. It should be more affordable compared to the Himalayan; and more importantly, it’s aimed as an easier alternative to the ADV. So, it features a 19/17-inch wheel setup instead of the 21/17-inch setup from the Himalayan. Also, the Scram ditches the headlight brace-cum-jerry can holders from its ADV sibling along with the large windscreen.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 gets the same 411cc air-cooled engine. While the long-stroke unit makes 26PS and 32Nm on the Himalayan, RE might alter the state of tune for this bike.

The Himalayan is priced at Rs 2.14 lakh onwards, so expect the Scram to be priced around Rs 2.05 lakh. The upcoming bike will go up against the Yezdi Adventure (Rs 2.10 lakh onwards) and the Scrambler (Rs 2.05 lakh onwards) (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
