Here’s When The Updated Hero Xtreme 160R Is Arriving

The bike could get an inverted fork, increasing its appeal in the rather competitive 160cc segment

Hero MotoCorp has sent out a ‘Block Your Date’ invitation for June 14, 2023, which is likely to unveil the new Xtreme 160R. This upcoming model, which has already been spotted undergoing tests in India multiple times, will feature various design and hardware enhancements. While specific details are currently limited, one notable update will be the inclusion of a USD fork, as seen on a test prototype.

The 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that currently makes 15.2PS and 14Nm is unlikely to be tinkered with. However, it’ll be upgraded to be compatible with E20 fuel and meet the BS6 phase 2 emission standards.

Priced at Rs 1.19 lakh onwards, the Hero Xtreme 160R is anticipated to have a slight increase of around Rs 5,000 for the upcoming model. It’ll continue to compete in the highly competitive 160cc segment, challenging its rivals such as the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Bajaj Pulsar N160, and the Pulsar NS160.
