The Yamaha R15 M will be launched on September 21, just a week away from the day of writing this report. Spy images have already shone light on the updated entry-level supersport, revealing all the changes to the bike’s design and mechanicals.
The new R15 draws inspiration from its elder sibling, the R7. It features a new projector headlamp flanked by LED DRLs and a redesigned fairing. The tank appears larger and beefier than before, which means it will possibly hold more fuel. The rear quarter panels are wider and slimmer than the current-gen model. Yamaha has also redesigned the exhaust heat shield on the new bike.

However, the most significant change is the addition of a USD fork, a feature that's available on the international-spec R15 V3.
The new-gen R15 packs the same 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder, but it's been detuned to make 18.35PS, 0.25PS lesser than the current R15 V3. That said, there are no changes in dimensions.
Expect the new R15 M to command a premium of Rs 6,000 - Rs 8,000 over the current model, which retails from Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
