All these enhancements ain’t cheap though: the bolt-on conversion kit costs almost a whopping lakh
Yamaha struck gold with the Aerox 155 – the sporty maxi-scooter is selling like hot cakes. There’s quite some demand for the scooter, which even though isn’t a traditional choice, has wowed Indian audiences. Bengaluru-based Dismo Tech has seen the rise of the scooter’s popularity and has brought out an upgrade kit for the enthusiastic buyer.
Dismo Tech has seen how South East Asian buyers have tweaked and tuned their Aeroxes. This kit draws inspiration from these very builds. Buyers get uprated hardware: a USD fork, a piggyback monoshock, twin discs at the front, a rear disc brake and wider tyres. The aim is simple: improved handling.

The kit is just going to be mental because in its stock guise, the Aerox was perhaps the best handling scooter on sale in India. It won the performance section in our recent scooter comparison (streaming now on Youtube.com/Zigwheels). More so, the improved braking system should rectify the lack of adequate stopping power. The kit also includes radial brake master cylinders, which should definitely offer better brake feel.
No performance enhancements, though. There is the carbon fibre tyre hugger and a tail tidy kit, giving the scooter a clean and bold rear look. While these parts will be lighter than the stock units, the hardware additions are bound to increase the overall weight of the Aerox.
The entire kit can be availed at Rs 98,000. That’s an eye-watering amount for the parts. Especially after considering that the scooter costs Rs 1,34,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) in the first place! However, when we contacted Dismo Tech, the dudes informed us that the initial lot of parts have already sold out. So, there are some serious nutters out there who are going all out #BeastMode for the Aerox. Let’s hope that more manufacturers realise the potential of the segment and we get more such hot scooters.
