The Aura CNG coming in a higher-spec trim now improves its appeal against its competition, which gets top-end trims
- Aura SX CNG launched at Rs 8.57 lakh.
- Notable features include 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and push button start.
- Powered by a 69PS 1.2-litre engine, paired with a 5-speed MT.
- Rivals Tigor CNG and Dzire CNG.
Hyundai India has launched the Aura CNG in a higher-spec SX trim, which is priced at Rs 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom). The CNG option was earlier limited to the mid-spec S trim. We suspect this move could be done because its rivals – the Tigor CNG and Dzire CNG – are now offered in higher-spec trims with more features.
Here’s a quick look at the Aura CNG’s prices:

Notable kit in the Aura’s SX trim includes 15-inch dual-tone alloys, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry with push button start, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, and a cooled glove box. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
The Aura is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine developing 69PS and 95Nm in CNG mode. It can be had with a 5-speed manual transmission only. The AMT is limited to the petrol-only model.
The Aura CNG coming in a higher-spec trim is welcome news, as you’re getting a much more feature loaded car with greener credentials. As mentioned above, it locks horns with the Tata Tigor CNG and Maruti Dzire CNG.
