2021 Hyundai Aura Gets Minor Feature Updates And A Price Hike

The new features come at a premium of Rs 4,000 for all variants barring the base ‘E’

  • The 2021 Hyundai Aura is now priced from Rs 5.92 lakh to Rs 9.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • The main update a rear spoiler on the mid- and top-spec variants.

  • The Arkamys sound system has been discontinued.

  • Retains the existing three powertrain options.

Hyundai India’s sole sub-4 metre sedan, the Aura, has been given a feature rejig along with a price hike of Rs 4,000 for all variants aside from the base E variant.

The 2021 Aura gets four new updates:

  • A rear spoiler for all variants except the base-spec E.

  • A set of 15 inch wheels for the second-to-base S MT and machine-finished wheel covers for the S AMT variants.

  • Downsized spare wheel (from 14 inches to 13 inches) for the base-spec E variant.

  • The Arkamys sound system has been discontinued in the mid-spec SX and  top-spec SX (O) trims.

Existing features such as the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, automatic air conditioning with rear AC vents, and wireless charging have been retained. Safety pack on the Aura still include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors as standard.

Hyundai continues to offer the sub-4 metre sedan with the same three powertrain options: a 75PS/190Nm 1.2-litre diesel, a 83PS/114Nm 1.2-litre petrol, and a 100PS/172Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. Transmission options consist of a 5-speed manual as standard, with an optional 5-speed AMT exclusive to the 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. The CNG variant is specced only with the 1.2-litre petrol unit from the factory.

The 2021 Aura takes on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire and the Tata Tigor.
