2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125: First Look

Bajaj has also gotten rid of the electronic carburetor with a fuel-injection system for the Pulsar 125

The most affordable Pulsar, the Pulsar 125’s updated version has started reaching dealerships. What’s instantly noticeable is the new paint scheme, which looks quite attractive. The yellow decals on the grey bodywork look quite nice, giving the muscular-looking Pulsar a sleek touch. Next are the rather funky-looking six-spoke alloy wheels, which might be a bit of an overkill for some.

In order to meet the new norms, Bajaj has replaced the electronic carburetor with a fuel injection system. As a consequence, it will get an updated ECU (Engine Control Unit). The baby Pulsar currently makes 11.8PS and 10.8Nm and we expect the updated bike to make more or less the same figures.

Its console, while remaining the same semi-digital one, now shows real time fuel efficiency, DTE (Distance-to-empty), two tripmeters and has a warning light pertaining to the new OBD 2 update. Prices for the Pulsar 125 currently start from Rs 81,414 (ex-showroom Delhi) and it’ll be safe to say that the new variant should demand a premium of around Rs 5,000, given the extensive updates. With this, we expect the bikemaker to officially launch the bike in the coming weeks.

Once that happens, the bike will go up against the likes of the Hero Glamour 125, TVS Raider 125Honda Shine and the Honda SP125.
