The Bajaj Pulsar range has always offered a great price-to-performance ratio, and this holds true to a great extent even today. Unfortunately, this equation has taken a small hit with the entire Pulsar lineup becoming dearer. Everything from the air-cooled Pulsar 125, 150 and 180F to the oil-cooled 220F and even the 4-valve liquid-cooled RS200 and NS200 models have seen a price hike. The silver lining in this dark cloud is the magnitude of the hikes, which is rather small, ranging between Rs 999 and Rs 1,498, depending on the model.

With this hike, the NS200 is now priced almost neck-and-neck with the recently updated TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. While the Apache is outgunned when it comes to power and torque, it fights back with a Bluetooth-equipped instrument cluster, ride modes, and a preload-adjustable front fork. Bajaj now needs to be careful about the trajectory of the prices, since its models no longer undercut the competition the way they used to.
