- First 5,000 customers will be given price protection in case delivery times are not met.
The MG Astor’s delivery timelines, much like those of several other models in the country, have been affected by the ongoing semiconductor shortage, leading the carmaker to promise price protection should it fail to deliver the first batch of 5,000 units by the end of December this year.
However, there seems to be good news on the delivery front. The Astor’s waiting period has gone down across most metropolitan cities, except for Bengaluru.

The Astor’s introductory prices -- from Rs 9.78 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom) -- have been scrapped. Revised prices will likely be announced in the first week of 2022. MG’s compact SUV is offered in five broad trims: Style, Super, Smart, Sharp, and Savvy.
