The MG Astor is one of those models that has been affected by the ongoing global semiconductor shortage. The carmaker has promised to deliver the first batch comprising 5,000 units by the end of 2021. However, should the carmaker fail to deliver on that, you need not worry as MG has promised price protection for the said units.

The MG Astor’s introductory prices ranged from Rs 9.78 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom introductory). However, these aren’t valid now, considering the first lot has been sold out already. The revised prices will likely be announced in the first week of 2022.

A quick recap about the Astor. MG’s compact SUV comes in five broad trims: Style, Super, Smart, Sharp, and Savvy. The SUV is available in as many paint options: Aurora Silver, Candy White, Starry Black, Spiced Orange, and Glaze Red. Check out the variant-wise colour options.

Now to the features. On offer is a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, a digital driver’s display, climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, a panoramic sunroof, and a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The compact SUV also gets segment-first AI tech and Advanced Driver Assistance Features (ADAS). Take a look at its functionality here.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.

The Astor gets 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines. Both come mated to an automatic transmission, however, only the 1.5-litre unit can be teamed with a manual gearbox.
