Great engine and comfort

Interceptor 650 is my favourite bike in terms of style, engine and comfort level and it offers a retro design that look nicer. The seat is comfortable and the mileage is around 20 to 25 kmpl but the ride quality is not absorbent and gives vibration at high speed. With the most powerful engine the power and torque is very impressive and the six speed gearbox is very smooth but the handling is not that strong. The seat height is good and also the turning radius is good but the features are less in this bike.

My Journey with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Owning a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has been an enriching experience. This bike with its parallel twin 650 cc engine delivers a smooth ride unlike any other offering 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. Its classic design is a head turner and prompts conversations wherever I go.Riding the Interceptor 650 feels like gliding all thanks to its well tuned 6 speed gearbox and the sound... oh, the sound is music to my ears.Yet no love story is perfect. The weight of the bike at 202 kg makes it a difficult task in heavy traffic and the heat from the engine can be bothersome in the summers.

Engine power

Need to improve build quality.Engine power and mileage are ok.But after an accident due to untrained professionals, Got fixed in bad manner even the engine was untouched in the accident. No one is able to fix the issue.90% re service centres having untrained professionals and workmanship.Gearbox issue is there even though there is slipper clutch. But power delivery is impressive and getting highway mileage upto 33kmpl and in bangalore’s city 14-18kmpl( i doubt petrol pump).

Excellent engine

4.2

Excellent engine, Comfortable ride.Never felt much vibrations, Bulid quality is satisfactory, Could have added more features but considering the price range it's quite good.I don't like the gearbox much shifts are not very quick and smooth.

Till 170+kmph

4.6

The interceptor 650 is what you need for a daily commute or be it a 1000+kms touring with your biker group. It has enough mid range punch to take you all the way till 170+kmph.Not a single drop of oil leak or vibes at idle speeds. And no need for downshifts the power delivery is spread right across the rev range across the 6speed gearbox with a light slipper clutch. If you are a cruiser between 80-120 it gives you back a decent gas mileage of 28-29kmpl of you are a revholic then it bottoms to as low as 20kmpl.It's the best package with a ton of fun without a doubt.I have clocked about 14000kms with basic services at 1000 and 10000kms no major cost to date.Build quality is excellent like a tank, It takes all the bad roads, Potholes decent suspension but not a track like handler although you can mod the suspension settings for hard rebound damping for better handling.Og seats are hard so i got it changed to a gel seat with hd foam which is a plush comfortable tourer seat. It's the best twin engined 650 cc in 270 degree crank that makes a sweet exhaust note that's symphony to the ears.Silken smooth engine and reliable gearshifts.I can't help contain my words for the interceptor this is the best bike to come in the last 30yrs in india.Cheers.Gasngear.
