Interceptor 650 retro style

I have been riding the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 motorcycle. It has been a lot of fun. This classic bike looks old but has new features. The 650cc engine gives good power. Every ride is exciting. The seat is comfortable and the bike handles smoothly. This makes it great for long trips. But the bike is heavy. It can be hard to move in small spaces. The vibrations at high speeds may bother some riders. Even so, the Interceptor 650 is one of the best and cheapest bikes in its class.

Best Bike Ever

I booked it online and brought it home on 4th February 22, have ridden it around in the city and have made trips out of town on it, It's a bike that you will love to ride around, It's compact, got juice on the throttle, handles well, has good balance, performs well, and is comfortable on long rides I have done 500 to 650 km runs in a day, without too much stress I would say its pros, and cons- the braking of the rear wheel leaves a lot to be desired and had to change and put Japanese ceramic brake pads to compensate, plus you have to clean the rear brake assembly every 500 km or so otherwise, a squeaky noise starts every time you use the brakes, I don't know whether this happens on other bikes. I think the bike is overweight by a good 15 to 20 kilos, which cuts its performance I personally like the stock exhaust. On long rides you appreciate them they don't give you a headache. The pickup could be better it would vastly improve if it shed a little weight, fuel consumption overall in the city gets from 19 km to 23 km depending on how traffic & speed, on highways it can give you up to 25 km if you keep her under 100, around 120 to 140 it gives you around 21kms and build quality is excellent in most areas though you will find rust seeping in around the pipes in the rainy season, & the engine cover is in aluminium which can get oxidized if your not careful, which then needs to be buffed & polished. The best part of this bike that I absolutely love is there is no vibration, the anti-vibration measures that the UK designers incorporated in the d engine are brilliant ( trust me I have been riding a re-export for 20-plus years, and you will love the long rides) feature wise it's a pretty basic no-fuss bike, but it's got d essentials like abs which works really well, a digital console with two trip meters, fuel indicator which a lot of people say gets glitchy thankfully mine is working fine.

I have been riding RE bikes

I have been riding re bikes for last 20 years.Recently ie in jan 2022, Bought interceptor 650.I was so excited while buying this. But after 9 months i realise how wrong i was.Ha some software prob from day 2, Took almost 10 days to get this corrected. After using for 3-4 months bike started stoping now n then for no reason, And it starts by itsels after 30 mins. When talked to service center they confirmed that its an issue with fuel pump they already have 5-6 bikes with them with the same complaint. But they are waiting for part to come from factory.I tried in couple of other service centers in city, Everybody gave the same answer, Will take min 20-25 days for the part to come once they book. Finally after 1, 5 months today my bike is with me with replaced fuel pump.Go for this bike if you want to wait for months n months for any small issue. Its really frustrating in todays world to wait for 1-2 months for one part to get replaced.Didn't expect such a pathetic logistics from royal enfield.I shud also say their roadside assistance is good.

Long rides

3.8

Positives: The bike has a good retro look. The headlamps have sufficient throw when dark. The engine is eager to move and is versatile - you can ride it both in a relaxed manner as well as in a sporty manner. The ride height is comfortable and getting on and off the bike is easy. The service interval is 1 year and charges are reasonable. Fit and Finish is good. Minor Negatives: The instrument cluster is very basic - it should have had a clock and gear position indicator. The bike is heavy to move around in a parking spot. The footpegs come in way while manoeuvring the bike at low speeds or in slow moving traffic. The bike is wide with exhaust on both sides and care needs to be taken in traffic. Seat is good for short rides - not so good for long rides.Overall, it is a very balanced and well made bike. One will enjoy the ownership experience. Royal Enfield can make this bike better by bringing small upgrades such as a clock, gear shift indicator and better seats
