Q. Can a 5.4 feet rider ride it - Interceptor 650?
11.6K Views Follow Question Add Answer90 AnswersShivraj | 5 years agoI sincerely don't suggest, sorry for my remarks, you will not be able to place your feet on the ground during very slow speeds ,it is very dangerous since you can't lift the bike with your one hand due to its weight.more over if you try keeping your foot on the floor the footrest keeps fouling with your legs,I am 5'7'', and at times find it quite difficult. Try some low saddle bikes.at the end of the day, safety is more importantMaybe if you modify the footrest, brakes & gear pedal to that of a GT 650 it may be more comfortable. .
Muruganand | 4 years agoI am somewhere around same height. I own an Interceptor 650. I have used the bike for normal commute in Bangalore. From my experience, you can comfortably drive the bike in most conditions. I do not have experience in driving in uneven conditions much - but in traffic and in normal road conditions - it is a very comfortable drive. I suggest you to go for it, if you like the style and the comfort the bike offers.
Gasngear | 4 years agoUse boots plus change seat to lowprofile touring GT seats gives you easy reach to the ground for a 5ft 4' rider .Lower suspension settings at the rear and in extreme cases change rims to a 17' will do the job .That's a lot of mod but it's worth the effort .
Dheeraj | 5 years agoYes but it's bit heavy ...if you are regular rider then you can manage but if it's your first bike then I will suggest you to go and check it once...hope you are quite satisfied with the answer if yes then please hit the like button
Uppiliappan | 5 years agoThe bare minimum height to handle interceptor will be 5.6 ft , But person in 5.4 should use boots , Alter seat to handle the bike. The weight of the person driving at least should be 60kg + because the bike is 210 kg.Test drive the bike as much you can to find it suits you Most important you should be passionate to ride a 650 CC the bike. If so the bike is for you.
Lalram | 5 years agoIt won't be much of a problem after you've gotten yourself acquainted with it. It is a bit higher than other re 350 and 500, but it won't cause much problem after you've ridden it for a while.
Arun | 4 years ago5.1 ft rider who rides bmw GS Adventure. just take a Interceptor 650 test ride or its better you can rent it for 1 or 2 days , use it on city and high way .then you will know . 'Ride Hard Ride Safe'
Ashok | 5 years agoHeight of rider is not very important seat height of this bike is less than Himalayan and I have seen so many person of your height driving both the bikes comfortably .Just keep in mind weight of bike which is around 200 kgs but on road very balanced performence.
Neil | 6 years agoI would only risk giving it to my father with that height of he is of an average of above build. Anyways with practice, any experienced rider should be able to handle as this is quite a rider friendly bike and does not ask for much commitment when riding
Manoj | 5 years agoYes, Certainly. But the awkward position of the front foot rests will make riding in stop and go traffic a pain. I suggest you take a test ride.
Deepam | 5 years agoI am 5 ft 6. I find it okay. You should too. But not very comfortable for city traffic. Try Dominar 400 if you have more city ride.
Siva | 3 years agoWouldn't recommend it. The bike is heavy and can tip over on you turns l. Test drive it properly and try slow speed and you turns before you book it.
Selva | 5 years agoIt will be hard for you in traffic ... go for thunderbird... it will best RE for you bro... love your bike
Anirban | 5 years agoSurely bro, i am 165cms and I got one, you just need to get used to with any bike to ride it comfortably. Saying that, its always convenient for tall riders.
Manoj | 5 years agoLittle difficult.. ride no worries but when you have to manage a fall this machine is too heavy
