Orxa Mantis Bike Latest Updates

Orxa has unveiled the Mantis electric bike at India Bike Week (IBW) 2022. Boasting of Ultraviolette F77-rivalling specs, here’s what it packs. To know what's new, check this article out.

The Mantis is powered by a 18kW motor with a peak output of 28kW. This propels the e-bike from 0-100kmph in under eight seconds (claimed), all the way to a claimed top speed of 140kmph. This motor is paired to a 9kWh fixed battery offering a claimed real world range of 200km in the city and 150km on the highway. This battery pack can be charged in under 5.5 hours with a 15A charger and in 2.5 hours through a fast-charger.

In terms of features, it has LED lighting all-around and gets a five inch colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Underpinnings include a telescopic fork along with a monoshock. Braking hardware includes disc brakes at both ends, while the bike gets alloy wheels. The e-bike weighs 175kg kerb and the seat is 810mm tall. At 180mm, the ground clearance is pretty generous too.

The Orxa Mantis is set to be launched in June 2023, with test rides commencing in a phased manner from January. The expected price of the bike is to be around the Rs 3 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
