You Can No Longer Get The Tata Nexon In Blue

Though Tata has not officially announced a replacement, we expect the Nexon to get the darker Arizona Blue option, like in the Tiago and Tigor

  • The Nexon’s current colour options consist of green, white, red, silver or grey..

  • No other changes have been made to the Nexon.

  • Engine options consist of a 1.5-litre diesel unit and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol.

  • The Nexon is priced from Rs 7.19 lakh to Rs 12.95 lakh.

Tata has discontinued the Tectonic Blue colour option for the Nexon. This leaves the sub-4m suv with five colour options on offer viz. Foliage Green, Daytona Grey, Flame Red, Pure Silver, and Calgary White.

The blue shade was a longstanding option with the Nexon, predating even its facelift, which arrived in January 2020. No replacement for the blue option has been announced yet. However, like in the Tiago, Tata could offer the Arizona Blue option as a replacement.

Aside from the axing of the colour option, no other changes have been made to the Nexon. It continues to be equipped with the same two engine options as before: a 110PS/260Nm 1.5-litre diesel and a 120PS/170Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit. Both come mated to a 6-speed manual as standard, and there’s an AMT option as well.

The list of features offered with the Nexon remains unchanged as well. It continues to get a sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, auto AC, and rear AC vents.

Priced from Rs 7.19 lakh to Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Nexon goes up against a loaded segment consisting of sub-4m SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
