Tata Tiago NRG

Features: The Tata Tiago NRG boasts the same kit as the standard Tiago with equipment like a seven-inch touchscreen Harman infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio controls, push-button start with keyless entry, and power windows. The safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera.

Engine: The Tiago NRG uses the same 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre petrol motor as the standard Tiago. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT gearbox. The CNG powertrain’s output is reduced to 73PS and 95Nm when it is run on the cleaner gas. It is 3,802mm long, 1,677mm wide, and 1,537mm tall with a 2,400mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Tata Tiago NRG has no direct rivals in the country but can be considered as an alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.

Tata Motors has launched the Tiago CNG AMT with prices starting from Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The 5-speed AMT is paired with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and is offered in the XT, XZ+, and XZ NRG variants of the Tiago CNG. All three variants command a premium of Rs 55,000 over their respective manual transmission counterparts. The Tiago NRG is basically a slightly jacked up version of the standard Tata Tiago with the same powertrain options and features list. Just like the standard Tiago, the NRG too gets a CNG option in the XT and XZ trims of the hatchback for a premium of Rs 90,000 in comparison to its concurrent petrol-powered variants.
